I'll be honest with you all. I have no frickin' idea on how to set up or work on MySQL or SQLite. Would someone be kind enough to help me out with setting up a MySQL server so I can get Big Brother working on my non-local Linux server?
http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/how-to-set-up-mysql-with-bukkit-jail-example-no-voice.3212/ Is that helpful?
Do you have a mysql database already? If not, get one from one of the various free sites: http://www.freemysql.net/v2/ http://www.db4free.net/ http://www.mysqlforfree.com/ Then set up the config file for the plugin you need mysql for, then put the mysql jar file in the main directory Finito
Holy shit! Why??? Unless your server is exceeding 50 people, or using plugins that store an asston of data, MySQL will be serious overkill and not give you any more speed. It will likely hinder you more than help, especially if you're using an external MySQL server. Please don't just use it because you think its needed, or it improves your perceived Geek credibility.
