My server got DoS'd I think..

So anyways, today as my server is on as usual, some kid rage-quit after dieing and threatened to Dos me. I was like alright but I didn't do anything wrong. About 2 mins later after he left, all my players got disconnected except me until I tried reconnecting to my server. A minute later I couldn't connect even to my wifi that I use from my router to use the internet. Eventually my wifi worked again and I couldn't log on because my IP to connect to my server was fixed.

I got two serious questions:

Was I really Dos'd and what exactly does it do?

Is there a way to change my IP back because I'm pretty sure half my players loss the way to connect to my server now since the IP changed..

Please help ASAP! Thanks in advance!

 

from what you have told us, you are hosting the server on your PC. I don't know how your ISP works but you losing connection to your WiFi was your own problem. Dos/DDoS has no effect on your connection to your Router. Internet , yes. It clogs up your internet temporarily. It does not change your IP address unless you unplugged your Router

 

Go on a static IP with NO-IP.

 

Is your server online mode = true?
