when I set up my bukkit server last, I searched around for a good startup script, but couldn't find one that worked and I liked. so I ended up making my own. I've been using it for a while now and it works well, although I made some changes just now to clean it up some. just save these few files into your bukkit dir. type ./start to start up the server, or ./attach if the server is already running. these scripts use screen, so you can close the terminal window and the server will continue running in the background. you can also view the servers console from multiple computers using ./attach /bukkit/start /bukkit/minecraft.sh /bukkit/attach /bukkit/stop
