Mumble plugin or similar?

so mumble is working client side for vanilla smp servers
for bukkit would it still work if everyone had it client side installed or would it need to be a server side plugin to work? im starting a server soon and this would be a great feature to include

A plugin CANNOT do this.

 

I know that!! Im asking if anyone knows if this would work on bukkit or if it would need to be re-writem as a plugin

 

It doesn't seem like something that'd be trivial to do as a plugin.

 

But would it still work as a client side mod for bukkit? Considering it works for vanilla smp servers that way..or would it absolutely be needed as a server side plugin?? I wanna test this but I don't have anyone to help me it yet

 

There is no such thing as a "client side mod for Bukkit". Bukkit is a server and supports server-side plugins only. The vanilla server also has no support for mumble. This mod you have linked looks like a client-only mod that works together with a mumble server to produce the effect of positional audio. It does not look like any Minecraft/Bukkit server plugins or any kind of server modifications at all are involved.

As such, you can probably use this with Bukkit with no trouble.

 

Thank you lol and I know there is no client side mod for bukkit..I was just saying if it would work despite it being client side
