In order to move out of experimental status and into beta, I have changed my project settings to "Beta". Do I need to wait for approval, or resubmit the project before this change shows up to all users?

Can you see a beautiful red message on your project's main page that says it is awaiting moderator approval?

Assuming you're talking about this: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/races/

Your project is still experimental, you can see that from the giant alert over your page saying it's experimental. All you have done is changed the files and the development stage into beta, which does not affect the project status. In order to resubmit to obtain normal status, you need to hit the "Resubmit for approval" link under project management.

It's in the queue to be reviewed. When the items above yours are done, it'll be reviewed and denied/approved as necessary.
