mcOverhaul itself is a client modification that implements a buddy list and server list. The buddy list and server list both have a lot more than meets the eye however, which makes it an extremely useful modification. This is the bukkit plugin that's soul purpose is to announce your server to the server list so it shows up instantly, as well as a lot of other features.

Installation:

1. Place the plugin in your plugins directory
2. Restart your server and have the config file generate
3. Edit the configuration file to your liking.
4. Type "mcoverhaul reload" in console or restart your server.

• "mcoverhaul reload": Reloads your configuration file
• "mcoverhaul connect": Drops the current connection and reconnects to the server
• NOTICE: All commands must be entered from console!

Everyone really needs to try out their mod and plugin!!

 

Ok, i just installed this on both my client, and server (CountVonCraft) and got to say, its so simple, yet something minecraft multiplayer definitely needs! i hope this catchs on!

 

Will the client mod work with bukkitcontrib client mod ? I kinda doubt it tough xD

EDIT: n.class and nb.class are in conflict.

 

We will try and fix this confliction soon.

First bug : We can't choose our texture pack, crash when we try to change. Default TP Forced

Edit : Oh i think it's because i'v bukkitcontrib

 

Hopefully we can get it working with BukkitContrib.

 

How can we add our server on the list ?

 

@Coelho How to we use HD Texture packs with this, they just crash the game.

 

Try modding them after modding mcOverhaul, or before. I just know they work ;p

What are the formatting codes to get colours on our server description and html links etc?

Also, a little unrelated but do you have any idea of a plugin that can allow people to sign up to a server via a wordpress site or forum rather than me having to manually edit a whitelist?

The formatting colors are &(0-9) such as "&3" and &(a-f) such as "&f".

Also, maybe Albus will help you? Search it

I think, it's not working for me...

My Server will be not appear in the list and inthe console is the error occurs often:

mcOverhaul.net can't ping your server. Try and make sure other people can connect to it and you do not have any type of firewall running.

What are the HTML tag codes? I got the colours working

 

Heyho, I love your Plugin, great! Dachboden-Server-Germany now use it.

But for the germans, please remove the "console" from Key "ö"
And an option to remove the Capes would be nice.... an idea to identify the mco-users: color the name

 

Capes are temporary. The console key will be customizable in the next update.

 

What are the HTML link tags for the description text?

 

Links are automatically parsed by the engine. A link is seperated by spaces and starts with "http://" or "www."

One quick thing, I have recently updated my server information etc and restarted but it hasn't shown up in mcOverhaul server list with the new information. Any ideas?

Excellent mod, the only down side I see is you can't have users running BukkitContrib AND mcOverhaul which I think is an unfortunate deal breaker so please get them compatible. Keep up the awesome work!
