Minecraft Server hosting help?

Hey i am fairly new to the whole minecraft server thing, and here's the deal :/ I've had one for a while but its not cutting it for me, i want to incorporate mods on my server so me and my small group of friends can play. That's just is i don't want to be putting out like 30-40 dollars a month for a server with modding privileges. In essence what I'm looking for is a cheap server host with a few player slots and modding, can anyone give me a recommendation?

 

You can get a cheap VPS for 5 a month, but don't expect it to be a really good one. I can recommend http://netcup.de/ , Note that their support is in German only!

 

You could use beastnode.com but if you dont want to pay every month you can buy a dedicated server on ebay or something

After all the struggles of trying to find a good hosting company I think its finally here. I got my server about 3 weeks ago and hope to have the server up soon! Wish it wasn't taking so long but school is important. Hope to have lots of cool plugins and see everyone there. I took advantage of their 6 month limited time offer package and it runs like a charm. I didnt understand at first some basics of the server but the staff was awesome with helping me. If this is not the right place to post it sorry for that I just believe they deserved a positive credit for their hard efforts!
