Minecraft 1.1 = Bukkit 1.0.1?

Ever since I heard of the spawner eggs I have been looking for bukkit to have their own version that covers that change.

I am assuming that bukkit will wait till minecraft 1.1 will be officially released before making a bukkit 1.1.1? I wanted to make sure that bukkit 1.0.1 is in fact from the minecraft 1.0 and not the 1.1. I am a little confused how all this works exactly. Basically I just want spawner eggs really bad in my bukkit server and if its possible to do that right now I sure want to.

 

Bukkit 1.0.1 is from Minecraft 1.0.1
Bukkit 1.1 will be based on Minecraft 1.1
It's not confusing at all

 

Where have you seen minecraft 1.0.1 posted anywhere I have not been able to find it.

 

It was a server-only release.
The client is still on 1.0.0.

As stated above, MC client version is 1.0.0, but server was 1.0.0, but then updated to 1.0.1 after some bug fixes...

 

And in addition to the above comments, the rumored '1.1' version with the spawner eggs, thats a pre-release. There are test builds released from time to time (check www.mojang.com).

After the new functionality has been added and tested, they will release it as Minecraft 1.1, and only then the Bukkit team will make Craftbukkit 1.1 (its no use working on something that might be changed tomorrow, like a the test builds).
