Inactive [MECH] VacuumChest v0.4f - Another chest item absorbing plugin [1.1-R7]

This is probably a (massive) delay on checking the chest. I'm currently working on improving chest loading times as well as CPU usage while checking for chests, this delay is caused by the plugin attempting to save CPU usage. Pretty soon I should have this all sorted.

 

ShadowDust love the pluginm when will the permissions be avail? also if you stop and restart the server the Vacuumchests are broken and you have to redo them all over again. can this be fixed?

 

I believe this is fixed in 0.4f (was uploaded after your post), give it a try

 

You have such incredibly wonderful plugin here, but my only reason for stopping of using it is that people on the server would like to be able to turn off the vacuum! Could you have a simple setting somewhere that doesn't make all default chests into instant vacuum chests? Something that we could in-game even that gives the option of turning off the default chests being vacuum-enabled? I know you want to keep it very simple and that's wonderful! But not everyone wants all their chests to be vacuum chests! It could be something that only ops could set by default even, xD I just want to be able to turn it off from being default!
People could easily turn it on for a chest by doing the normal commands...

Or perhaps a setting that makes all chest to have a default of 0 (zero) for checking for drops?

 

Xanadar it doesnt turn every chest into a vacuum you need to enable it with /vc_range and if u want to tuen it off i would assume /vc_range 0

Funny, every chest that my players put down were acting as vacuums, I will try the latest update, then.

ShadowDust could it be configed to be redstone powered? so if redstone is connected it turns on the vacuum?

 

Right then! I would like to see an ability to turn off the automatic pick up xD maybe have it on by default, but at least being able to turn it off!

 

A /vc_range of 0 should disable a chest, but I think I'll add a default range option in a yaml config. Xanxix the intended use of VacuumChest is that all chests are VacuumChests, but some plugins interfere with the auto-detection. I'll add some more commands that will give more power to you guys. (Such as force adding/removing VacuumChests), But I'll get permissions working first.

 

Im having a problem with this plugin. I cant adjust the range of the pickup radius. screen cap : http://i.imgur.com/3th90.png

It does pick up items if i drop them in front of the box, but i need to expand the range. Thanks for any help!

Hi, yeah vc_range is currently only available to OPs despite permissions, this is a known bug, I'm currently working on it now.

 

Well thank you, apparently on my reinstall of my server I forgot to OP myself. What of the error messages Im getting though? Or is that what you are working on?

hey if its good i like it and this is a plugin that has allot of possibilities if u can get the redstone to turn it on.

 

How do you "Vacuum enable" a chest? When I try to adjust the range of a Vacuum chest, it says it is not vacuum enabled...

 

How goes the updating?

 

Hey, may i suggest a future feature? ie. I have a drop-mob farm that drops mob to their death. The drop get's absorbed by your awesome plugin. The thing is, a lot of, let's say zombies, drop something i don't want (in this case rotten flesh) The feature i would suggest is that you somehow can select the items you don't want the chest to absorb.

I've found this problem as well, the easiest way i found was to just remove it and place it again

this plug in is the best. work in 1.2.5 also i think if you could add a sorting feature or maybe even only accept a certain type of item that would make it better. i would love to have it to accept or at least not accept rotten flesh from my gold farm

 

This is one of my favorite plugins. Worked well for quite some time. Now on server reloads/cold starts the chests are no longer vacuums. I previously had MonodoChest working great with this plugin but have removed it and still having the issue.

Anyone else experiencing this on Bukkit: 1.2.5-R1.0 ?

I'm having the same problem. Every time I want to launch my server, I first have to delete the "VacuumChest" folder in my Plugins folder. Otherwise the chests do not work. Any way you can fix this problem for us?

 

I'm sorry, I've been really busy lately. I've gotten a job, and am working on a 3D engine in a team, and don't have much time for this plugin at the moment. However the source is there, and anyone is welcome to modify it. I'll even post a link to your version. I believe you can post in the requests forum to get some help on that
