    Description:
    LevelCraft is a plugin devised to add a Challenge to Minecraft Single Multiplayer.It denotes normal actions into "Levels" this level is increased via the gaining of "Experience" the experience of which relates to the level. It is fully customizable and due to some recent changes is medium weight. This congratulates the user for doing certain actions. For example the more mining a player does the faster they mine and the better then mine. Makes sense right?

    LevelCraftCore is necessary to have to enable all the level plugins. It is the glue that holds them all together, it also handles the commands and the data storage. It is a beast, a boss and made my the 1337 pro that is Samkio. :cool: "Core' blimey it is mighty good."

    The Mining level depicts the use of the mighty pickaxe. Players leveling up by the mining of blocks enabling them to gain access of new pickaxes and new blocks.
    Features:
    1. Denotes use of Pickaxes. Higher level unlocks better pickaxes.
    2. Denotes block mining. Higher level the more types of blocks they can mine.
    3. Faster Mining. Higher level the faster you can mine.
    4. Double Drops. Higher level the higher your change of the block dropping twice.
    5. FirePick. Higher level unlocks the FirePick. A portable furnace that when mining blocks with golden pickaxe will drop what it would be if smelted.
    ie. CobbleStone -> Stone, IronOre -> IronIngot

    * Gain Experience by Mining.

    The WoodCutting level depicts the use of the hatchet or more commonly know as the axe. Players can gain experience by chopping down trees and planks allowing them to gain access to higher level axes.
    Features:
    6. Denotes usage of hatchets (axes). The higher the level the more axes you can use.
    7. Denotes cutting of logs/wood. The higher the level the more types of log you can cut.
    8. Faster Cutting. The Higher your level the faster you can chop down trees.

    * Gain Experience by chopping trees.

    The Combat level depicts the use of swords on both players and mobs. A true warrior will attain to keep this high.
    Features:
    9. Denotes usage of swords. The higher the level the more swords are unlocked.
    10. PVP Range (Toggleable). Allows players to only attack players withing a range of combat level.

    The Range level depicts how much damage you do per arrow. A handly level for keen archers.
    Works both on Players and Mobs.

    11. Greater Damage Arrows. The higher the level the greater damage your arrows do.

    The Dexterity level allows players to jump higher and run faster with the aid of boots. Level up by jumping. Jumping higher is turned off by default and only applies to Gold and Diamond boots. Players also receieve less Fall Damage with higher levels. (Note. Every attempt to make this level a light a possible has been done. This Level however may contribute a large amount of lag. Due to this LevelUpdates for this level are run every 1min [as upposed to everytime someone moves]).
    Features:
    12. Allows users to run. Crouch to run. Must be wearing boots.
    13. The higher level you are the move boots you unlock.
    14. The higher the level of boot the greater running speed and jumping height.
    15. Survive greater fall damage the higher level you are.

    * Gain Experience by jumping.

    The Farming level depicts how a player is one with the land. It depicts the use of hoes allowing the player to use a greater level of hoe the higher their level. Gain experience via harvesting crops, tilling land and much more. Also adds the ability to obtain apples from trees by farming the leaves.
    Features:
    16. Depicts the level for hoes. The greater level you are the higher level of hoe you can use.
    17. Random chance to yield more wheat from crops the higher level you are.
    18. Random chance to yield Coca Beans from crops the higher level you are


    * Gain Exp for things such as Harvesting crops, tilling land, finding seeds, using bonemeal on crops

    The Excavation level depicts the use of the shovel. Allowing users to dig greater depths with a higher excavation skill.
    Features:
    19. Depicts the use of shovel. The greater your level higher shovel you can use.

    The Swimming level allows players to use helmets as scuba-diving gear. Having a higher level allows you to stay under water longer, then re-fill your helmet on land.
    Features:
    21. Allows users to wear "scuba-gear" to enhance their breath in water.
    22. The higher level the more scuba-gear obtainable.
    23. Crouch to fill and empty air.

    * Gain Experience by using the scuba gear.

    The Explosives level depicts your ability with explosive devices. This being TNT, Dynamite Sticks (Redtorch light with lighter), and grenades (eggs Thank to @<Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url> for letting me use this functionality.) This plugin makes explosives really poor damage at the start but as you level up you deal greater damage. Be warned :D
    Features:
    24. Denotes range of Explosives. The higher level you are the more choice of range you can use.
    25. Denotes Levels for TNT. Must be higher than this level to use TNT.
    26. Adds Dynamite and Grenades.
    27. Toggle Grenades with left click.
    28. Light RedStoneTorch with a lighter.
    29. Change Dynamite Range with left click.
    30. Depicts Levels for Dynamite and Grenade.

    * Gain Experience by using TNT,Dynamite and Grenades.

    The Defence Level depicts the use of armor. Allowing players to wield armor only when they attain the correct level. Level up by using the armor.

    The Forgery level, the most configurable level to date, allows users to forge tools, forge armour and repair tools and armour. The higher level you are the more you can forge! Level it up by smelting/repairing and forging items. A truly epic skill if i say so myself. :p
    Features:
    32. Allows tools to be repaired by placing in a furnace.
    33. The higher level you are the greater tools can be repaired.
    34. The higher level you are the more tools/armour that can be forged.
    35. The higher level you are the more blocks that can be smelted.

    * Gain Experience by Repairing,Smelting and Forging.

    Users have a small chance of finding 'lost' items in the sand / gravel /dirt /grass.

    Introducing the new Prayer level! Users can now be at one with the gods. Level up by burying the bones of past victims to gain Prayer Points that allow you to do many functions such as healing and protecting. When your Prayer points are low don't forget to pray at an alter to replenish them!

    38. Creates Prayer Points Replenish-able by praying at an alter.
    39. The higher level you are the more prayers you can do.
    40. Prayers use prayer points and must be replenished.

    I would say thats more carpentary.
    Lemme grab that for you....

    double levelAti = constant * (i * i);
    In simple terms:
    constant*level^2 = Exp for that level.
    So for level 50 with constant 20:
    20*50^2 = 50000exp.

    This is a known error will fix. :)

    Thank you, I've been searching for this for quite some time. It wasn't in the wiki, and bukkit's search results didn't find it either.

    EDIT: Is there any chance of letting us configure the algorithm to suit our needs in the near future? Example: base exp * curve

    Oh, you're right :/ I was considering "forgery" as forging+crafting.
    But, in that case, making stone tools is not forging, it's crafting.

    And... As I surfed the web, Wikipedia told me that "Forgery is the process of making, adapting, or imitating objects, statistics, or documents with the intent to deceive." So... xP
    Very nice mod anyway., changes a lot the way of playing SMP.

    I was actually going to take on that project, but now that I see this I think I will add it to levelcraft instead, since leveling up is so cool.

    So maybe would you always get a fish? Then the more you fish the more you get different drops and stuff?

    Hmmm maybe not always get a fish. Maybe at lower levels it could take longer to catch fish and you have fewer of them, then as you level up you can get things like catching faster, more fish and adding the different drops gives it a more fun feel aswell. :p

    Yeah.... Building is not the best. It's buggy. I need to re-write it. :p

    When crafting iron boots, helmet, leg...
    I have a message in chat "can not forge iron boots, helmet, leggins,... required level 15, 18, 20,..."

    In workbench resulting cell is clear, but if click on it you have already crafted iron boots, helmet, leggins,..

    Please fix it!

    P.S. There are no config line in forgery for CHARCOAL - no exp for it.

    Ok, so currently bukkit triggers different fishing events at different times. I don't know if it'd be possible to have it take less time. I can, however make it less than 100% likeleyness to get a fish.

    I did some tests with the event. When you cast at anything it sends FISHING.
    CAUGHT FISH when you reel in a fish
    CAUGHT_ENTITY when you reel in a cow or something
    IN_GROUND when you reel it in from the ground
    FAILED_ATTEMPT when you reel in without a fish

    How about this:
    If you reel in the rod with nothing after 5 seconds, you get a random reward or possibly nothing.
    If you reel it in after 5 seconds with a fish you get the fish and some xp to boot.
    If you get it in the first 5 seconds you get yourself a nice BIG CATCH!

    omg please tell me your close to finishing sorcery i have 2 factions on my server mages and warriors and id like to limit them to either good swords bad magic or good magic bad swords

    I must admit I have not read through the Entire thread, as at 89 pages, that would be a bit much.

    Is there a way, or are you planning, on a way to restrict commands/permissions to certain levels?
    I think that would be a great addition, Like say resricting the /tpa command to a certain level of a skill, or something like that. I think that would be a great addition to the plugin if its not in it at the moment.

    I won't be using your plugin until I do a complete server reset for the 1.8 release anyway, so you have time to add it, if its possible of course :) But i have been using it on my test server, and i absolutly love it, and my users are very much looking forward to it.

    samkio - I tried with golden pickaxe right click on block, but nothing. So Im looking in files for firepick settings.. but nothing.

    Thanks! Permission restriction is being looked into. Although may not be done as soon as you may have liked. You may see it in the future however. :p

    Ensure you have the level in it. The most uptodate LCMining etc

    First off, thanks for one of the best plugins for MC. I really love the aspect that LC provides to an SMP server.

    Question: Do you have plans to integrate this with SuperPerms? My Permissions 3.16 broke when I updated to 1060 and had to go to bPermissions (awesome perms mod BTW). As it stands right now, I cannot access the admin commands unless I take off bPerms. Even as OP.

    Good question!
    Currently i hate Permissions. (As don't we all?) Theres a version which then goes downhill and then someone else takes it up. Screws it up and then another guy jumps in and then they make 8 permissions plugins some work some don't. Personally i'm still using 2.7! :D Yes iPro. But in regards to that... i'm going to have to settle on something probably BukkitPermissions... I just really wish the Permissions side was well... better. Such a simple plugin that's just not native to Bukkit. Good ol' hMod had it's group system build in. It was simple to use and all plugins could use it. (I've gone off subject havn't i). Owell. Superperms away...!

    Sorry i forgot to post my findings.
    Ahhhhh i see.
    On even numbered hits it ignores it.
    This was a feature i put in a while ago due to the bukkit messing up the DamageEvent. Looks like it's fixed. I need to remove it! :p Thanks!

    I had two ideas a while ago for fishing that i just remembered.
    Fishing Nets and Harpoons.
    Fishing nets: (Web) Made by x = String - = Stick
    x-x
    -x-
    x-x (Or whatever you want it to be :p).
    Can be placed in water and can catch fish?

    Harpoons (Arrow). With String in inv.
    Fire Harpoons at the water to have a better chance at catching. Thoughts?

    Since webs are going to be commonplace in 1.8 that might not work too well. Perhaps for harpoons just have it use one arrow if available while fishing and when you ave it make it act like your level is 10 higher.

    This may be a bit hard but an idea i thought of you can turn 3x3 block of fences in the water with the middle missing
    [][][]
    []. .[]
    [][][] you could make intervals 500 seconds there is a 10% chance to catch a fish
    ((raw fish spawning in the middle)configurable) and after a certain number of intervals the 3x3 fence will disapear. One problem i thought of this is the fact that the fish could disapear after a certain time. A way around this is putting a chest in the middle so the raw fish goes in the chest. I dont know if or how you could pull this off but it would be pretty cool. Reading this i realize how hard this could be

    Hey, in the Config file which one is it so when someone reaches the max in a Level they don't get the [M] or something next to there name? Like the prefix.

    They are all uploaded but because LevelCraft has multiple levels and there is only one download link the Bukkit Dev team are finding a way to sort it out in our unique case. Until then you will have to wait sorry. :3

    Soon. Going to add others things to it like greater damage at higher levels. Critical hits and no-npc boosting. :p

    Set SkillMastery to true.
