    were debating coming over to this from mcmmo, if we were to set relevent levels to the same as we have earnt on mcmmo would they be over powered? ie i have 491 in mining, would that in this be too much?

    also we have a page for displaying mcmmo stats can that be done with this?

    Yeah, I'm not sure how the skill abilities work in mcMMO, but I couldn't really find any way to make it balanced beyond level 100, however, at level 100, you will have similar abilities as you would have at max in mcMMO. So maybe taking that 491 and moving it down to something in the range of 50 - 75 would be the equivalent. Unlike mcMMO, double drops cap at 10% at level 100 because I'm just really not a firm believer in two diamonds every time. :p

    If you find leveling goes too quickly, you can change the rates at which they do in the config it will generate.

    As for stats, I'll totally add that on a to-do list for the Advancement API (which is different that this plugin -- link is in sig, no release yet).

    can the 10% cap be changed, im a great believer in double diamonds for players that earn higher levels lol.

    what is the max level for mcmmo ? (i didnt know it had a max)

    I believe in mcMMO it allows you to continue forever, but you gain no benefit after 1000.

    So 1000 in mcMMO would be comparable to 100 in Advancement. I could throw in a configuration setting for the double drops maybe tomorrow if you are interested, otherwise I'm mostly sticking to working on the new project.

    New download should fix you problem, let me know if there's any trouble. :)

    the option would be cool, we have mcmmo set to 1x rate (as slow as we could get it so people that got as high as they have, really worked hard at it, so the reward is good :) also is there a way to let them continue past level 100, even if it doesnt add anything past 100 players seem to like collecting stats lol

    Well, I'm at a crossroads here, I could add the feature to modify drop rate, however, I don't think I will go as far as to de-limit the level cap. I completely understand the enjoyment in collecting stats, but this mod is for the most part inactive and I just don't want to dedicate the time to go through all of my abilities and make sure all values over 100 give valid amounts. I'm sorry to say that, but my new iteration of Advancement will feature a prestige mode for server admins looking for something similar to infinite leveling.

    Personally, I would suggest this: stick with mcMMO for now as I will rarely update AdvancementStandalone and it's pretty much at a what you see is what you get thing. However, when I release Advancement, if you are still looking to switch over, then might be a good time to do it.

    i didnt realise this was being abandoned, fully understand not wanting to add new features to it, tis a shame as the hunger, sneaking etc had swayed me to this add to that the fact that unlike many other plugins this does just one thing and doesnt try to add loads of stuff into one bundle. i will keep an eye out on advancement, how will it differ from this?

    Indeed they are, so you will experience no performance hit what-so-ever for unused parts of the mod.

    In the case that you don't use classes or prestige mode and just want skills and abilities (like good old fashion AdvancementStandalone) I will include an option for infinite leveling. Of course, as I've mentioned before, I'll investigate getting you a statistics readout similar to mcMMO's.

    Hey @jtripled nice Plugin, here some Requests and Ideas:

    • Option to Disable the passive and active abilitys (only get Levels for Mining and Woodcutting, Health ... Important for vanilla-like servers, like my server ;) )
    • Total or Master/Main- Level,
    • Server Skill-Level-Toplist. /skilllist <skillname> shows the top-10 User with levels
    • Option to change the Texts, Colors and Language! Custom XP Messages.
    • Rate-Modificator, each level up, the rate gets lower.
    • Custom Mining-XP; Gold, Coal, Iron, Diamond, Total-Mining.
    • XP for Digging Sand and for Dirt, for Farming (each for Grass, Seeds etc.)
    • XP for smelting Gold, Iron etc.
    • XP for Riding pigs, traveling with Minecarts and Boats.
    • If the abilitys deactivated, option to get an Item each Level-Up.
    • Config the CooldownCount for each ability.
    • SQL and SQLite support ;)

    He has stopped adding features to this mod but I'm sure some of the stuff listed @jtripled will add to the new mod. Also all I know is that localization is ready for people to translate for him so he can add it the mod as for texts and colors, that just seems like a waste because it's perfectly fine as it is right now but you never know.

    As RugRats said, I'm done adding new features to the mod. However, the new mod will give you a lot of control over max level and the like. The leaderboard feature will be in the new one. I will have different languages available, but allowing for custom messages and colors would be too much work for the benefit. Rate-change-per level is a little bit much, that's the reasoning behind increasing amount between levels, I don't feel we need both. Since my new mod will allow custom build skills, etc, XP rates are very much configurable and people can assign XP rates for whatever actions they choose. Same with cooldowns. SQL support is coming as well!

    Oh well. I might have to try this on my server. I currently use mcMMO and WebStats with MySQL. It works out perfectly, but my server just seems to be crashing to its knees (Read Timed Out). Myself and others feel as if mcMMO is crashing the server.

    Send me a conversation of your server start up script. I think I have memory leaks and is mcMMO is causing a big part of this (perhaps).

    Okay... so you want me to send you a report?? or what... My server runs on 10.0.32 for days and doesn't crash nor read timed out.

    To be honest, I first started this mod because mcMMO was giving me a lot of trouble. I didn't do much investigation, it was just a "hey, when I have this plugin running, things stop working well" kind of thing. So I believe you may be right (plus, mcMMO's code is a damn bowl of spaghetti, there's no way I'd ever be able to pinpoint a problem in it).

    haha I bet my read timed out errors were gone I had them but I don't think mcmmo was the cause... and my server really never ever crashed.. But i did use to get read timed out. Not any more though. Even advancement used to give me read timed out.
