    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    @Tuttu you can try the following
    1. Clean up inventory & world from "new" blocks implemented with itemcraft
    2. Take a clean startup.txt file
    3. Start the server once an shut down again
    4. rewrite the code for your block(s)

    I don´t know it this works for you.. i am not using the fancypack. But if you don´t get forward with this its worth a tryout.

    btw excuses for my terrible english ;)

    Thank you. My error has been solved with the last ItemCraft version. ;)

    @asdaarg : I have just tried the bone lantern (Because it's approximatively a copy/paste of the paper lantern). Same problem, the lantern repops. I have tried the chain but I was unable to craft them.
    I'll try to do the chimney now because it is different from the two lanterns.

    Ok, I have just tried the chimney. There are some problems that are different. Firstly, they are invisible in my inventory, but they are in ! I can place them on the world and if I break them, they disappear but they drop nothing.
    I have added the corresponding item with item ID_of_the_item to see if the problem was solved but... no. They are always invisible. One other thing: they are visible in the craft table GUI.

    I upload my startup file if you want to test. :)

    New edit : I have tried the Djoslin' Rope. I can craft them, place them, brake them and they even drop a rope when I brake them. But I cant climb on them. I suppose that I have to add them some logic or something else but I don't know what. The good fact is that they seems to work very well. I had have lag on my local server but I don't know if it is due to a problem on the server with your plugin or if it comes from my computer.

    Nice to hear that you have success with other blocks. That the chimney is invisible is a problem though.

    I'm looking at Crazy that Pogic guy made, and I'm thinking, maybe I could deobfuscate Fancypack's blocks using the nametable he has. Maybe I could make some kind of tool that translates for MCP classes or even translates the classes (decompile, rename, compile) but that's too big of a project for me now.

    On my own, I'll continue to make test and give to you the most feedback / report than I can. :)

    I have two other questions.
    For the rope, I have something to add on the startup file to make them climbable ? Or it's impossible with the text file method ?
    And I wanted to try the tables and chairs to test it. They can be crafted with different materials. How do I declare it on the startup file ? Is that possible ?

    Its not possible to make them climbable from the textfile yet. I'm thinking about adding properties that redirect the behaviour of a block to another, so you can for instance make it behave like a ladder.

    If it's not possible, it's not a problem (At least for the moment). I just wanted to know if it was possible to test it. :)
    And for the table part ?

    Edit : I have just tested the wooden tables and they react like the chimney block.

    Edit 2 : And what is the difference between DataDropped and IdDropped ?

    Edit 3 : Wooden tables don't really act like chimney. If I brake them, I can get them back. But they are invisible.

    Data dropped is the data value of the block e.g. wood, birch, redwood share the same block id, but they have different data.

    Also try changing the material, that may make them visibile.

    It has change nothing for the paper lantern, the server always crashes.
    With CLOTH material, the chimney now drops when they are broken and I can take them back in my inventory. But the are always invisible in my inventory and in the world when they are as items. :)

    I have a request : do you think that you can add a comment system on the startup file ? Mine is now 70 lines long and its not always easy to find what I am looking for.

    Yes, currently you can actually just putting a line that doesn't start with any of the commands, and it will silently be ignored. But that's not very nice if you mistype something. So lets say #

    Tried new Blocks
    Material STONE

    If i brake this blocks with a pickaxe they drop the block. If i brake the blocks with no tool in the hand they do not drop a block - BUT sometimes seconds after braking the block with bare hands a drop pops up in the air.

    I'd appreciate a list of blocks that works, or if you have any blocks that don't work and what the problem with them is.
    That's a weird behavior. The paper lantern sometimes broke for me when I hit it, and sometimes it froze. Maybe its related.

    For now i have only tested three materials:

    WOOD
    SHATTERABLE
    STONE

    and played a little with the values of Hardness and Lightvalue

    WOOD and SHATTERABLE brake normal and i get a drop with and without TOOL
    STONE brakes normal with tool, without the block often freezes and sometimes (rare) there is a drop after some seconds.

    Other thing i tested... Setting Fire on top of new blocks doesn´t work.

    I will test more different Blocktypes/Variables and post the behavior here.

    ah you mean data value, no not yet, but I'll add it right now.
    Edit: Added. Btw, if you remove those dots, you can craft it anywhere in the crafting table since now its 3x3 and not 3x1

    shapeless recipes worked, only thing is that the mmb mod does not work with shapeless recipes and therefor the item is not displayed if its not in the exact shape the client "knows".. but thats a mmb problem, maybe it will be fixed

    Jeez, I realize now I have to update it every recommended because of my mods :p
    Actually there is a way to make shapeless recipes, I'll see if I can add that too in the next update.
