    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    what i am running
    -running bukkit 1000 (craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar)
    - Windows 7 home premium
    -itemcraft QwertyPower's ItemCraft update 1.6.4 (the .jar link)

    everything i have done so far in in the quote.
    it is a fresh server. there are no plugins or mods installed.
    i never messed with any of the config files
    the server runs but i can't seem to join, even when i installed the required mods.

    now when i went to install the client mods i followed these steps to the letter.
    i know how to install modloader.
    i know how to install modloaderMP
    i know how to install 16 Bit Entity
    i know how to delete the META-INF folder

    it runs fine, there is no black screen or errors.
    but whenever i try to join my server i get "Internal exception: Java.IOException: Bad packet id 230" in my minecraft game.

    i have no clue what is wrong. this is the server log if you need it.

    if i where to take a wild guess, it says in the start up "ModLoaderMP Beta 1.6.6v4 Initialized" perhaps that is out of date? i reallly don't know.

    any help at all would be appreciated.

    If you are not using a ModLoaderMP compatible mod, you need to disable the packet 230 that are used by ModLoaderMP. To do this, be sure put this line in your init.ic file before any plugin inclusion :

    this is juts a error with personal chest and transporters. The industrial craft will still work. There is a issue with wrenchs though they wont work till you go to your itemcraft.jar open it go to net->server->minecraft and delete the world.class (doing this wont let you use personal chest and teleporters but) there are bukkit plugins for this, see lockette and stargate)

    Could someone post a copy of the 1000 craftbukkit jar with the meta-inf removed? I cannot remove the folder without it giving me an error saying the jar is corrupt.

    are you using winrar? If you use windows zip management and I have even had that issue with 7zip it will cause that issue. Winrar was the only one that didn't take a dump in the .jar file for me.

    I've installed all the server-side things, and everything seems to work fine. Although, I take the SuperSlopes mod to test if everything is working, and my client crashes every time I try to access the server. I've download Modloader/ModloaderMP/16-Bit and placed all the necessary class files in minecraft.jar. I download SuperSlopes for client side, and place the zip folder in my .minecraft/mods folder like the instructions clearly said. What is wrong here?

    I just wanted to ask you something. I've been trying to set up ICTranslate.jar, and in the guide to use it, it is said to use QwertyPowers 'reg.reg' file, to put into the retro folder.
    Where can I find this file?

    I had a rabbit spawning problem with mo mod, and used the oldscript.ic file fix. I still seem to be having issues, as the oldscript.ic fixed the rabbit spawn rate (set to 0) but it doesn't seem to have an effect on the mobs set to spawn on harder difficulties (ogres and wraiths primarily)

    in anycase anyone kinda knows why im getting black screen with Kslopes?... i have modloaderMP already on my client... and IC_compat or do I have to set the init file for the slopes... never mind i got connected to the server... yeah ut it was indeed inside the init file

    i am getting a little confused. where do i put the scrips for IC Translator? where/what is the startup script? if it is "translateMCP.bat" where do it put it inside the file?is it the plugins.ic?

    i will experiment a little bit, but any help will be very appreciated.

    My odds of being able to fix any actual code problems are nil, but if there's some really obvious conflict or something sticking out that I'm not seeing here, that's something I could act on, at least. FYI, this seems to happen more or less at random.

    Our server can't use Animals or Monsters,the server is ok no Errors but if someones Connect his game Crashes with an Blackscreen,without any kind of Animals/Monsters it does Work,we only use FancyPack and Slopes please help ._.

    Ok i got it : In your Itemcraft folder is a Data named "init.ic" there,there is following sentence :
    #uncomment to not use entity id packet mod
    #false setEntityIDPacketMod

    If you dont want to use Mo's Creatures you don't need to install the EntityIdPacketMod, and because it doesn't find it,your Animals and Monsters don't work. so just delete the # before False and it will work =)

    We have already tred to port it and ATM, it's not succesfull. We are looking into other way to do the port.
