    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    ok I am having a major problem trying to install this. if I delete the meta-inf I get a message saying that I have an invalid or corrupt jar file.

    You can make other shelves with log:
    X = log, O = nothing

    You can use the Test Server who have all install correctly or download ItemCraft.jar and use command

    Yes in simplepayer it works but not in smp, when i try to make a log shelf it appears 1 second then it transforme in wooden shelf. And to craft a wooden shelf i need 3 book between the wood.

    So the option in SMP is disabled, the client will use the new shelves. Modify the config 's user (config/mod_FancyPack.cfg) and modify usenewshelves=1 to usenewshelves=0
    and it's gone!

    The server start correctly but Flan's Vehicles and Planes won't work.

    Is there any way to fix it? it's quite annoying,when client crashes every time when I'm crafting something which use similar recipe, and I craft it by accident :) Thx in advance for reply

    I also have small problem with "Hidden Doors (Ported by ShetiPhian)" when I'm opening doors, sometimes I'm unable to enter through them. They are also randomly opening/closing.

    If anyone had problems with the ICNtree IDs, particularly vines, I've added those back in the Details regarding use post (removed thinking they were redundant when in fact the vine id is not default.) (Thanks to Tuttu)

    would it be posible that you could update ModloaderMP in Itemcraft. because the modloadermp had be updatet. ;)

    I get a black screen when trying to connect to my IC server. Both the client and server have ModLoader MP and the same version of IndustrialCraft installed (8.55), though the MLMP version might be different.

    Bukkit version 1000, packaged with IC 1.6.4

    I copied Industrialcraft from under the bukkit 1.7.3 header. Since the package already comes with modloader, I didn't install that.

    Client-side, I installed IC8.55 (not 8.55_2), as well as Modloader and ModloaderMP (The most recent versions).

    That's it. Someone please help me, getting this to work is a gigantic pain.

    Have you read the documentation before trying ton install Itemcraft ?
    You have to put the Itemcraft.jar file in the same folder than the craftbukkit.jar one.

    I just ran the test server as it was. so the itemcraft.jar is never supposed to be in the pluggins folder? if so why is it that way in the test server zip? I just assumed that whoever put the test server together knew what they were doing.

    But even at that, being able to run the test server , doesnt solve my problem that I cannot delete the meta-inf folder from the craftbukkit jar without it telling me that I have an invalid or corrupt jar.

    If someone could upload a copy of the craftbukkit jar file for version 1000, that has its meta-inf folder removed, and is working. as thats what my server is running I would appreciate it

    this was a step by step report on how it was not working for me.
    then i actually got it working.
    i figure, since it was already typed out, someone might use this for help

    My Installation (open)

    what i am running
    -running bukkit 1000 (craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar)
    - Windows 7 home premium
    -itemcraft QwertyPower's ItemCraft update 1.6.4 (the .jar link)

    what i have done.

    - i downloaded craftbukkit version 1000 and placed it into a new server folder.
    - i downloaded QwertyPower's ItemCraft update and placed the jar into my server folder.
    - i went into the craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar with 7-Zip and deleted the META-INF folder.
    - i made a new txt document, pasted this ito it: (it did not work)
    java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

    i compared it to the origonal RUN.bat file, and i changed it to this:

    How's it going. Having trouble with potted plants. I followed the instructions and moved the 3 class files (tried both itemcraft.jar in a mods folder I created and into craftbukkit also created mods folder). While I can place the pots, I cannot plant anything into them. Simply nothing happens when I attempt it.

    If anyone has insight into this prob, appreciate it if you could share.

    i followed the tutorial from asdaarg an yes... its sometimes hard to understand :).
    i can try to do a video tutorial "how to port a mod" ( example Chandelier - it was not that hard )... hope i can do it later this day.

    You're tired of the minecraft water physics?
    Then you need: DJoslin's Finite Liquid!

    Finally portet to Itemcraft :)

    1. Download ICFLiquid.jar
    2. Copy it to Bukkit/ItemCraft/ICPlugins/
    3. Open your plugins.ic (Bukkit/ItemCraft/ICScript/)
    4. Add the following line:
      "ICFLiquid.jar" plugin
    5. Download
    6. Open your Itemcraft.jar in Winrar (or similiar)
    7. Copy all .class files from into your Itemcraft.jar, in the folder: net/minecraft/server/
    8. All clients need DJoslin's client mod.
    You will see the new water only in new generated chunks!

    This plugin is VERY CPU intensive!

    Known issues:
    • Rain doesn't spawn water.
    • Sometimes you can see water, where it shouldn't be anymore. I think, it's because Bukkit don't send the blockupdate to the client...

    Finally got bukkit and itemcraft to work on OSX wahehe to those who still dont know I'll post what you need
    Go get
    1. Winrar
    2. Wine which can be found here
    3. SNAPSHOT version of Bukkit
    4. ItemCraft's latest update
    after getting Winrar load it with wine
    then here's the steps
    Getting prepared
    1. Create a folder in the directory where you want to start the server Ideally I put mine on the desktop
    2. Paste the Bukkit SNAPSHOT and Itemcraft Jars inside that said folder
    3. Open Winrar go to the Bukkit server folder you created in step 1
    4. Open the Bukkit SNAPSHOT and delete META-INF.
    Starting the server
    1. Open Terminal
    2. cd (SNAPSHOT bukkit directory)
    3. run the server loader code which is this
    java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
    4. Press any key and wait for the world to load
    5. Enjoy you Bukkit with ItemCraft
    Reloading server
    Sad as it maybe I havent found a way to create a start.command to start the server so you have to do things the manual way by doing the Starting server steps.... unless someone can shed me a light on this if its possible to load the server without custom loading the ItemCraft.jar but ItemCraft will still be applied.
    if its possible then you can rename the SNAPSHOT BUKKIT to this Craftbukkit.jar
    1. Open Terminal (I have to be safe with this)
    paste this in terminal
    mv craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar CraftBukkit.jar echo "cd (~/Desktop/Bukkit\ Server) Can be changed java -Xincgc -Xmx[RAM]M -jar CraftBukkit.jar" >LaunchServer.command chmod +x LaunchServer.command
    Right now I'm taking things slowly in anycase I only loaded the Slopes blocks both for itemcraft and Client side but for some odd reasons the server is kicking me...
