Making client mod plugins?

    I just started looking at the client mods in devbukkit and was wondering how people make them? are they all spout plugins or can they be done without spout? I never used spout before but I still want to make client mods and such so I was hoping the community could maybe help me out? at the very list point me to a place that will.
    If anyone would like to give me a 1 on 1 lesson via Skype/teamviewer let me know because that would be perfect.

    The MinecraftForums provides a lot of tutorials on client side modding, it's worth checking out (can't link from where I am, sorry). Your first step would be learning to use the MCP.
