Looking for a plugin/tool to connect two points

There may be a plugin that can help me with this, or WorldEdit may support a function that I'm not aware of.

I'm building a long distance elevated minecart rail system, and have created elevated pillars to support the platform. I'd like to have a tool that would connect to points at each platform, filling in a line of blocks that never go more than 1 up or 1 down to reach the next platform. I hope that makes sense.
