Login Queue based on Rank

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to create a plugin that would limit and queue the amount of people that could join a server based on their group in PermissionsBukkit. For example, if my server has 50 slots, I would like to dedicate lets say, 10 of them for noobs, 30 for the next rank, and so on. Is this possible?

 

If you have a bukkit server (Logical) you kan open the Server file with Notepad and then change the settings. If you want ofline modus for your server (So cracked clients kan join) you have to set true to false. also you can choose your server ip (Don't do it), change your worlds name, cahnge view distance of players, change the allowence to enter the nether, spawn monsters (true/false), set difficulty (peaceful 0 - Easy 1 - Normal 2 - Hard 3), set the gamemode of your server (0 = Survival / 1 = Creative), change the MOTD (Xtra server line in the JOIN SERVER list), change white-list mode, change server port (DONT EVER USE THAT), set allow-flight mode, set level-seed & change PVP. But the last one that you need to goto is:
max-players=
Then set it to the number you want off players that can join at the same time. Klik the X to leave. (Just Close Notepad)
WARNING: Do save your changes or nothing will change!
Restart your server
Login your server
Play in your hot edited server! ;-)

no need to pay for this plugin...this is really simple and your just gonna waste your money on this
i can make this but i no gonna make it as im still making some tutorials on some stuffs

thats entirely different on what @adenslayer asked...but you can add this feature to your VIPkick?(the name sounded wrong too) you should rename it if you would like to add this feature...anyway...you want to take this over?

@adenslayer @DomovoiButler I could try adding what you asked for to VIPKick aden but as Butler said it would change the dynamics of the plugin quite a but, plus I don't want to do anything if Butler has already started working on something.

Ya, none of those would work. We get bum rushed with new people on our server all the time and would like to limit the amount of people that can join a specific group at a time. That way I can set it to only allow 5 default group people on at a time, and the other 45 slots can be split up accordingly. As I said earlier, I am willing to pay for this is need be. If the 5/5 slots for the default group has been reached, either a message stating that they have been kicked due to the max slots being reached for that group, or have them be added to a queue, either way would work for me Thank you guys so very much

 

then make 45 vip slots and 5 non vips then all is fine ..

 

@adenslayer I will work on adding this to my VIPKick plugin (to be renamed shortly). I am not going to ask for payment to create a plugin that is just silly, at least for a small plugin such as this. I will get this done as soon as possible, do you know how many different groups you will need?

 

With what and how? All the plugins that I have been linked to doesn't let you set non VIP slots

Awesome, thank you so very much. I currently have like 5 different groups. I do not know how many people I would like in each group now, but it would be nice if it was configurable and was comparable with permissionsbukkit

haven't tested it yet though as this plugin should need lots of players in it and i dont have a server to test it with
needs the vault plugin so it supports all permissions plugin

@Reference.KickMessage message to players when they are kicked by this plugin
@Reference.MaxPlayers this is not configurable...just copied the max players of your server for reference only(cause ---maybe you forgot whats your maxPlayer
@MinimizePlayers.<groupName> limit of player that can join based on there groups
this one is a bit hard cause sometimes most players have more than 1 groups so this plugin will go through each of the players group and if theres one slot open, he/she can join
groupNames will be automatically added on the config at every run of the plugin, default is at unlimited
'0' limit is unlimited

@adenslayer It will work with permissionsbukkit and PEX, basically all I am going to do is create a few more permissions nodes ie vipkick.default, vipkick.preferred etc and then I will perform a count of how many people are online with each of the permissions and once the limit is reached it will not let anyone with that permission join. By doing it this way you can still call the groups whatever you want to and just give them the node you wish to use for that group.

@DomovoiButler I actually havn't started work on the changes to my plugin yet so if yours works it will save me some time and effort

@DomovoiButler so from what I can tell, I don't add permissions to anyone? It scanned the permissionsbukkit and auto grabbed the groups and made the config file. I edited it to what I need, is that it?

you dont need too, yes...it will read in their permission groups

 

Okay well if that is the case then I do not think the plugin works. This is my config. There is currently 15/50 people on and 10 of them are in the default group

does some of that 10players has other group than default group?

 

No, I do not give people multiple groups. They do inherit from the default group though, could that be the issue?
