List of Recommended Plugins for a Small Server?

So, me and my friends recently got a bukkit server (hosted on fluctishosting.com) and I was wondering what plugins we should use. I've hosted a Bukkit server before, and I've used plugins before, but I've kind of forgotten how to use them... soooooo, I was wondering, could anybody out there give a short list of some plugins which fulfil some of the requirements which I put forward here?

1. A permissions system (preferably simple to use, but it doesn't have to be)
2. A plugin which will allow me to turn lava/fire damage off, as well as creeper explosions.
3. A plugin which can allow chests to be locked, and doors/gates to be protected.
4. A plugin which allows for a degree of protection over a certain area.
5. Any other plugins which anyone might suggest for a server of 5-10 people.

First off fluctis SUCKS! I'd suggest a refund and go with beastnode for small servers

And why does fluctis suck? You seem to be putting your standard way too high judging from your other post. You're not going to run 200 slots on a non-dedicated server. You didn't even like Allgamer which is probably one of the best around.

 

Would you say Fluctis is a good host?

 

Fluctis isn't a bad host, as I said, this just seems like a person with extremely high demands.

I never said I wanted a 200 slot server, I was talking about city wars and other major servers and my standerds aren't super high I did not like fluctis because I bought a 4gb server and after 3 people making a spawn, without world edit, were lagging.

Also I did like allgamer I don't like mcmyadmin

That's obviously not what it should be so either it was network lag due to your location in relation to the server or you had a chunk issue.

 

I also seen of bad reviews which didn't help, and the server was in the state next to me.

 

4 bad reviews on 47 good ones isn't a lot at all...
The servers are in The Netherlands, which is in Europe, so you're completely mistaking.

 

I asked for one in Chicago, Either way, your welcome for hunting those down, -_-

 

That was probably ages ago when they still hosted in Chicago using tcadmin, yes, Fluctis was not that good back then, you should give it a try now.

First off, I'm currently neutral with all server hosts as I host my own.
Secondly, thanks for this list of plugins. I'm going to look into LWC and Essentials now.
