Question Learning Java

Greetings,

I've been wanting to learn Java for a while now but a few days ago I created a server and suddenly I'm getting a surge of so many different ideas. My question is for you guys that are experienced in Java, just how did you learn it? I know there are websites out there as well as applications on your mobile devices, though, are they really the most efficient method? If you used YouTube videos, which video/video series did you watch? Are there better ways I should go about it?

I've got experience in Website Development mostly (HTML, CSS, PHP) though I have also got some basic knowledge in C# if that can somehow come into play if they're similar languages.

There are a few similarities between Java and C#. I'd recommend you skim through everything under "Covering The Basics" and see if you understand everything:
