Hello everyone, I've got a quick question, as I assume its a really simple answer and something I'm missing. Is there a way to do a save that doesn't lag the server? When I do /save-all everything freezes while the server saves. Is there some other command or a series of commands that would save the world and not cause any lag.

How large is your world and what host are you with? If it's lagging when you save the world then there is a problem.

    10k / 10k world, nether, and end. 1k/1k plots world. I have a dedicated server with 16 gigs of ram, and a Intel Xeon E3-1270 v3 .

There are no errors when we save. Also, this only really happens when we have more then 10+ members online.

It's lagging because you save the world, when I do /save-all into my server it lags too.

This happens once your server tries and save all the data that has been changed or made, therefor going through your whole world file then updating the data. So, if you wish for this lag to stop I recommend rather delaying the save-time or creating a new world and use WorldBorder. Please note that having a plot world without restrictions to what the players can do with entities can lead towards problems with world saves. Make sure that players cannot make 274 beacons (for example) so your server would lag generally whenever a person is in that chunk. Hope I as able to help.
