is there a script/plugin that would allow me to send commands to the console while it is minimized

Hello! I was wondering if there is a plugin/script that would allow me to send commands to the console without having the console open, for instance say i have the server running in a screen session, if i have that screen session closed/minimized, I would like to be able to do something along the lines of ./scriptname "console command" which would then execute the command in the console and then display the response, thanks!
