Is there a plugin that has a block type function like redstone?

While trying to make something cool with pistons, I realized that if you try to move a block with redstone (or anything on it) that item pops off. So it's making it difficult to power the piston.

I was hoping to find a plugin that makes a certain type of block carry a charge. Like say glowstone, or even a redstone block. If there IS such a plugin, please point me to it.

If not, someone really needs to make one.
