Is there a plugin like this:

I really need a plugin that includes automatic block protection with rollback, and also an item you can check who placed what block. I know one, bananaprotect, but i sort of hate it, because it protects doors, doesnt let you use Flint and steel properly, and a few other things..

 

hmm logblock... and most of the times it is a configuration issue...

 

That seems ok, but will it protect blocks youve placed, so people can mine them?

Please, no plugins that require MySQL.. it just doesnt work.

Probably OwnBlocks does the protecting part. But it supports MySQL and I do not know how to use eBean persistence, so sorry.

 

If someone could like, make a version of bananaprotect without the chest and door protecting stuff, they deserve all my moneys.

Almost all logging/rollback plugins now require a MySQL DB. Why can't you use that?

What are you using to host your server? Home/shared/VPS/dedi? What OS? Specs?

Do you happen to have Skype running ? I had some issues with starting some of my web services when it was running.

 

You'll absolutely want to use MySQL for logging. So either figure that out or don't bother, and instead just rely on some cuboid protection plugin like WorldGuard.

Your lack of specifics about your MySQL problem prevents anyone from helping you ("just doesn't work" "fails" -- erm, okay). Did you fail to put quotes around the user/pass for the database? I noticed that causes a connection failure with LogBlock and is not immediately obvious.
