Solved Is it possible to clear a certain chat line?

Hi,

When moderators on our enforcement team punish players for violating our DiamondCreeper Services Consumer License Agreement, if it's related to chat or communication I want to be able to clear a certain chat line without clearing all of the chat. Is this possible?

I'm really curious about your license agreement. How does it work? Do send the user a full license and require a signature before they can join your server? This is slightly offtopic, but you need to make sure everything is legally binding, or else the 'agreement' (if it is) is useless.

The easiest way of doing this is to create a log of the chat. Every time a player types something in chat, store the message in a list. Every time a user types something in chat, if the list's size is over 30, remove the oldest chat message and add the new message. When you need to clear the chat, go through the list and resend all messages, skipping over the ones you want to remove.

Regarding the license agreement, on sign up, users will be directed to a website to sign up. When this occurs, they will be required to review the DiamondCreeper Services Consumer License Agreement. The user is required to accept to continue.

Users will additionally have an option to review the DiamondCreeper Services Privacy Statement.

Additionally, other server owners or staff on other servers are also required to adhere to the DiamondCreeper Services Business & Corporate License Agreement.
