   I am in search of a plugin that checks the ip and/or host address to see if it connects to a minecraft server to prevent spamming on our server

   TekeDome If you want to prevent spamming, there are loads of plugins out there that do this, without the extra work of checking IPs. Just search for ChatGuard on bukkitdev, that is a pretty reliable spam and advertising prevention plugin.
