How can I ban players IP? ok I got Essentials and with that i can do it, but how can I find out what is th ip? becaus when i wrote /banip nick it bans nick as ip, but i need ip.. ;/ --- merged: Feb 5, 2011 9:31 PM --- Actually i dont want Essentials on my server, because it is like over my plugins.. ;/ is there any else plugin who bans ip? Can somebody make a plugin with what i can write nick and it bans players ip?
Well ok, but if i dont want to use essentials than how can I ban IP without consolee - so other admins can ban ip ?
Find another ban plugin (There's tons of them). Haven't tried any of them, so I can't link you to one D; lol. I have never seen the point by IP ban: 1. 99% have a dynamic IP adress, which means; It changes from time to time. 2. Username ban will prevent dynamic IP adresses, it's simpler,easier to remember and commands are possible. So it's way better! 3. The only time you need IP ban is if you're running in offline mode. Or some other weird reason. 4. No banning of yourself. ._.
wtf? what a nonsense post. dude, thats a private ip. Private IPs are used in local area networks (LAN). and the "id" actually is the port of that connection.
