I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Hi. I have aa pretty annoying issue. When im traveling, and the world is rendering queue get overloaded. It may be lava flow but im not shure. It's really annoying because the queue goes up to 10k. And its waiting for me to type
/lb savequeue, otherwise it will save it very slowly. Can you tell me why?

am I doing it wrong or do crops not roll back properly? I just rolled back some crop area and had all the crops spawn as items, the grass blocks didn't change to the tilled blocks or anything

  9. For some reason, LB isn't recording MOBs and fire now...

I had to manually enter the the "player" Fire into the database for it to even start recording them. It wont record creeper damage either...and it's the same config file...I only just switched mobs on, emptied the database and then fire stopped being recorded >.>

I then go "/lb area 5" 20 seconds later and nothing appears in the log.

    Hello (again)

Could you please add TNT as the player who triggered it, like the creeper?

    I would be very thankful.

    BarelyMissed

Hi, thanks for this plugin. Lately we have been seeing many errors in our log, and eventually the server itself closes the socket resulting a crash.

    The end result is this:

Thanks for reading, hopefully we can straighten this out.

You could set forceToProcess to 25 or something
Depends on how the crops got destroyed. There is no BlockBreakEvent for tramped soil/seeds.
Take a look at the world config files.
No, creepers have the player as target, while tnt don't has anything similar.
The first three are harmless, only affecting unlogged worlds.
The fourth is a client quitting without hitting disconnect, but clicking X or killing the process.

    BarelyMissed

Thanks for your reply. I am confused as to why the fourth error gives everyone a Read timeout error, and when anyone tries joining the server they get stuck on "Logging in..."

Could also be due to very high cpu usage.

That happens when the server reloads/shuts down without beeing able to save the queue.
Either consumer was too slow (0 rows per run/set forceToProcess to avoid that) or the mysql server was disconnected.

    drip_N_Blood

    Silly question but....

    How do I rollback TnT?

  18. Offline

    Kainzo

    @DiddiZ
    Code:
    consumer:
        delayBetweenRuns: 5
        forceToProcessAtLeast: 0
        timePerRun: 100
        useBukkitScheduler: false
This is what it was set at.

Hi, im kind of a noob at logblock, and I need some help with rollbacks. When I try to do any type of rollback, I get a message telling me the rollback was aborted. The message is
    "Current queue size: 11
    Queue saved successfully
Searching block changes in the last 30 minutes:
    0 blocks found.
    Rollback aborted"
I don't want it to be last lase 30 minutes.

    shadydeath999

uhm why do i actually have to save the queue manually every time?

and also i try to rollback a grief i found and it tells me no blocks found while it happend like 10 mins ago
btw: why does it use queue instead of directly writing it into the DB ?

    /lb rb player <griefer> since 1 day
    /lb rb player tnt
You don't have to. Adjust your consumer settings:
    -> https://github.com/DiddiZ/LogBlock/wiki/FAQ
Because it would lag the server otherwise.

small issue, my moderators cannot use /lb commands anymore since I switched to bukkits own permissions, I have it set like this:
    Code:
        Moderators:
            permissions:
                commandbook.kick: true
                commandbook.bans.ban: true
                commandbook.bans.unban: true
                commandbook.teleport: true
                commandbook.teleport.other: true
                commandbook.locations.coords: true
                commandbook.return: true
                logblock.*: true
                mchat.prefix.Moderators: true
                mchat.suffix.Moderators: true

    Do the others work?

I just got my mods to test, they can use them commands but not commands like /lb tool or /lb tooblock, I can use all the commands as Owner with just the * permissions without being on Ops list too...

Which Commands dont need any Permissions. Cause /lb tool seems that it dont need Permissions, too.

  28. Offline

    DiddiZ

Ask them to do /lb permissions
So you can see which permissions they actually got.
Only the help commands. /lb tool is available for all in default bukkit permissions.
