I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.




The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

Features:

• Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
• Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
• Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
• Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
• Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.

Maybe it is posted already, but can we force the server to make a connection to host: db4free.net by a command? I just checked and the last connection was almost 3 hours ago.

Um, when the connection gets lost, it should reconnect as soon as it can.

Works fine for me. Type /lb permissions to see all lb permissions you got. When there are none, you've to check your permissions.

Just that I don't see a conformation if he is connected. I can only check on db4free.net if the server comunicate with the database by time stamps.
This is the only thing that is in the server log and when the server starts :

That's fine, the absence of a error message is the confirmation

That's not LogBlock, but a player quitting.

Look for an error message at server start. LB disabled itself due to a configuration problem.

This plugin seems to be better that BigBrother with ChestAccess (I've not seen everyhting so it the first thing I can say ^^)

I read the lasts posts and the SQL help wiki page, but LogBlock is the only plugin that can't connect to MySQL base. Other databse plugins are connecting well (iConomy).

Logblock doesn't log destroyed blocks.
I've adjusted the config, but it still doesn't work.

 

How can i deactivate max-area?
I want that my moderators don't habe to type area ...., only since 2d or something like that ..

Um, most likely caused by reloading instead of restarting the server. The are some problems with the plugin cache, it doesn't totally use the new jar.

 

Server log says there is a new version, but I bet this one is newer, right?

Hm, can't reproduce. There must be special circumstances.

I probably found a way to fix it: I could use the item in hand to figure out the placed block. But i'm not sure if that's also 0, so another dev build, and please tell me whether the stated item in hand matches the actual placed block.
