I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

I can't remember if I mentioned this to you before or not so I figured I would post it to be on the safe side. It doesn't seem to be possible to limit to block names with spaces in them. ie sould sand, either with or without quotes:

/lb player somename block soul sand

/lb player somename block "soul sand"

It's not something I would normally notice but I'm trying to track down how much gold and diamond someone has mined and I can't get it to show in the sum of all blocks because the amount he's mined makes it end up in the middle of the list so asc or desc can't help me.
  4. Offline

    It's on the todo list.
No, but I want to add h2 support.
You didn't set the mysql config.
Try underscores or the block ids :D
  5. Offline

in the console it doesnt give a reason for logblock not working. It just says LogBlock Disabled.
  6. Offline

The reason can come much earlier than the disabled message. Look at the server.log at early server start.
  7. Offline

Ah, didn't think to try block ids. Awesomeness :) Thanks!
  8. Offline

Could you please add a /lb reload command to reload the config?

    Think so.

how are you supposed to compile this i looked for a pom.xml but couldn't find one. Do you have a compile guide i couldn't find one on github.
  12. Offline

Either you spelled the user or password wrong, or you didn't grant all privileges to your mysql user.
I use eclipse for compiling, so there is no pom.

It's most likely the questioner not working for some reason, you can disable it.

This is a great plugin but I have a few questions. How long does it store the logged data for on the default setting I can't seem to find it and is there anyway to change that in the config? Also it seems to dupe items when players destroy something and rollback the work. Any help would be great. Thanks
  17. Offline

Hi Diddiz thought id report this not sure if its your end or not but i have plugin compatiblity issue to report..... its quite minor.
With mcmmo when you enable superbreaker on a pickaxe with say a stone pickaxe and hit a ore/block thats unbreakable with stone pickaxe it logs the block as being destroyed but the block doesnt acctualy get destroyed.
as i say im not sure which side this should be fixed yours with mcmmo i assume that logblock is picking up some sort of block destruct event from mcmmo?
  18. Offline

Default is forever, but you've clearlog.keepLogDays to adjust.
The inventory isn't affected in any way.
Hm, I'm not used to mcmmo, but it looks like mcmmo not cancels the event properly.

ok thanks. Another issue i wondered about is mysql prune i only want to log 4 days of data since most greif issues are delt with within this timeframe
    dumpDeletedLog: false
keepLogDays: 4 ------set to 4 days but its keeping mysql data infinate like -1
i have this set in config is it related to how long entrys are stored in the database for??? if not could we have such an option?
maybe ingame command would be usefull for this /lb prunelogs 4 days ???
  20. Offline

I'm just making sure that I can look up blocks edited from days ago. It doesn't seem to be working with the default config. Someone edited blocks last night and its not showing that they edited it when I use the wood pickaxe. It only seems to show the recent edits from the current day when right clicking.
  21. Offline

Besides that it should work (what does lb says about at startup?) there is an ingame command: :D
    /lb clearlog before 4 days

Except you set keeplogdays to 1, you should be able to.
    /lb before 1 day
There is still the posibillity of plugin abuse, eg WorldEdit.

When I do that command:/ lb before 1 day
It says Block changes up to -1440 minutes ago in world
    No results found
Which is 24 hours so I can only look up actions from 24 hours ago? Even then its not registering actions from less than 12 hours ago only the more recent ones.
Im sorry for all the questions I just want to get everything working ok. Thanks for the support.

So how do I rollback everything a player has done (that logblock has logged)? /lb rollback player playername only says it rolls back the last 30 minutes.
  24. Offline

So you don't have any older log. What do you have in config for keepLogDays? And are you running LB for longer than 12 hours (sry, but I've to ask :D)
    /lb rb player <name> since 99 days
  25. Offline

I have the -1 for the keepLogdays and I just installed logblock around 12 hours ago however my server is up 24/7. Will that have an effect?

lb rollback world world player incendia since 99 days
    15:34:16 [INFO] null
  27. Offline

You can't lookup things that happened before you installed LB. That's not the way it works :D
You have to put the worldname in quotes:
lb rollback world "world" player incendia since 99 days
  28. Offline

    <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I'd like a config option in the next version to set the default time to rollback when no time params are used
  29. Offline

Ik that :p but its stuff that occurred right after I installed logblock. And its not registering.

    It's alredy there: lookup.defaultTime
Ah, hm, in that case idk.
Not supported atm, but it's in most cases rollbacking a chest access where is no chest etc.
