I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Hmm, do you think you could just delete the source block though? Lava eventually goes away after the source block is removed.

    Anyways Thanks,
  3. Offline

The source block gets deleted, but the surrounding water blocks aren't just updated, so they stay there.
EDIT: It's a simple fix, changing only one parameter from false to true :D
  4. Offline

Ohh, lol, I didn't get what you were saying. I noticed the water blocks with no source but I never thought LB was causing it.

    Thanks :l!
  5. Sorry to have to ask again, but i dont think you noticed the first time i asked a few pages back.
I would like logging of who removes a painting from a wall. If possible id also like to save what painting it was and be able to rollback it. Since adding paintings to wall gives random one its a pain getting the specific one back, especially if its a room with several paintings missing.. like 3-4 of them.
  6. Offline

Sry, noticed it, but forgot to answer. I've to check whether it's possible, since most paintings covers more than one block. It's on my private todo list, the public one is kind of outdated.
  7. Its no worry, if its not possible to rollback, could you atleast check if its possible to detect breaking of paints, who does it and at what location the player is standing, note to log would be okay too

Could you show the "date/time" when we use "/lb area". I think this is a very important piece of info!

I know you can see the time if you do a logfile, but I need my Mods to be able to see if a griefing was recent.
  9. Offline

Hm, I'll see whether i can implement that into the new commands system.
  10. Offline

From my memory, I installed the plugin. Did /reload all and started to get that error..

I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that I just restarted the server and it was working fine after that. :)

In between the time that I did /reload all and restarted the server, I could use the commands, but the plugin wouldn't log anything at all
  11. Offline

    make /lb rollback selection <player>
  12. Offline

Hey, any idea what this mean?

[LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 9460
It was spamming the server log with numbers from ~1000 up to ~10,000
  13. Offline

    Hm, interesting, will remember that.
The new commands system will support that.
    Disable consumer.useBukkitScheduler

    Thanks!! =D

I have some issues while doing /lb redo selection, if the place is a snow biome, and it snowed, it wond restore the blocks where snow is.
  16. Offline

    add snow (78) to rollback.replaceAnyway
  17. Offline

    Thanks :D

I guess i can use the same MySQL DB for 2 different servers when i change tables: - lb-main to something else right ? :)
  19. Offline

Yup, I do it as well for my hell server.

Hello this plugin is starting to annoy me now, as i cant get time based rollback to work command /lb rollback area 10 time 20|0|0 and it wont rollback 2o min it just says 0 min rolledback, and why is the /lb rollback playerarea not like bigbrothers and roll everything in 20 blocks back not just 30 min. I dont know if its me but i would love to know why its not working for me. Thanks

EDIT the command im useing for /lb rollback playerarea NAME 30
  21. Offline

    The proper usage is
    /lb rollback playerarea [name] <radius> <time span>
    /lb rollback playerarea DiddiZ 50 999 days
    /lb rollback playerarea DiddiZ 17 5 hours
And the new commands system will be way more flexible, I'm working on LB v1.00
  22. Offline

Ok thanks what about the other command /lb rollback area 10 time 20|0|0 and it wont rollback 2o min it just says 0 min rolledback?
  23. Offline

The syntax is "/lb rollback area 10 20 minutes"
  24. Offline

Thanks i know its a hard question but can you say how 1.0 is comeing along as it really needs simplifying ;)
  25. Offline

Very good, the commands system is done, there are only some things I want to add, rollback signtexts, chestlogging, rollback chests, question whether you really want to rollback, button/lever logging etc. Maybe this or next weekend.
  26. Offline

Great, great, great ! Many thanks.
  27. Offline

So what exactly does that do? Will that affect anything in my server?

Also, I tried to place a bedrock but I can't, because its the block history thing. Is there a way to enable/disable?
  28. Offline

Mainly LB will use a timer instead of the bukkit scheduler. No disadvantages.
Alredy implemented "/lb toolblock off" to v1.00, but by now you can only set bedrock via WorldEdit or change the toolblock to a different block temporarily.
  29. Offline

    can you rollback enviroment changes?
  30. Offline

    Yes, I can :D
Use "Fire" "TNT" or whatever as player name.
  31. Offline

    2 questions.
When the new support commands will be released (?) ?
How can i see who ate a cake?
