I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

What says the block history for the unrolled back blocks?
Maybe sometime. There are things with higher priority and better changes of success.

I'm confused on how to increase from SMALLINT to MEDIUMINT.

Also, how do I import my BigBrother data into LogBlock? I ran the .sql file in phpmyadmin and it timed out after a while.
  4. Offline

There is no jar in the zip file, just some class files.D:

The easiest way is a gui like phpMyAdmin or the MySQL Workbench.Or if you want to do it manually, here is the query:
Try to do it query by query.
There is definitively a jar. Which archiv programm are you using?

hey is this configuration right for multi world

    - world, nether

?? i become ingame the notify "this world isnt logged" when i use the blockhistory tool
  7. Offline

    In short: no.
    - world
    - nether
    Is the correct syntax.

lol couldnt hurt!!! anyways one other question please :D how do i reverse tnt damage and restore burned blocks?
  12. Offline

Ehh, what're the permission nodes for this?
Namely, the only one I'm really looking for is the one for right-clicking with a pickaxe to check the history, but any of 'em would be nice. :3
Looked around a bit and couldn't find any...

The zip is the jar file. Using IE 8 to download the file makes it a zip for some odd reason, never seen that before.

    Just rename it.

Using plain windows 7 with no archive program installed.
  14. Offline

    Nothing easier than that:
    /lb rollback player tnt
    /lb rollback player fire
    Avous likes this.

Any chance of your supporting SQLite? It'd allow many more people to use your plugin.

    Sounds like inproper config :D
I mention that more detailed in the installation guide.
Removed all references to the old syntax at the website (I still hate YAML).
Seems like you are missing the sql update for v0.7b.
You have to delete the autogenerated `lb-players` and rename the `players` to `lb-players`.
  21. Offline

There is no table you specify in the config for the sign texts? only lb-main which i left as it was.

I would just try it but i dont want to mess up my 10 million block table and not have history anymore. Very nervous.

I seem to have no players table just lb players. I ran the sgl update to rename players and got no errors.

Im sorry i dont have skype. Perhaps irc? If you click the link in my sig theres a link at the top of the page that says "chat" I shut my server down and ran the first sql update then the second sql update. I then changed out the jar to the .9e one and ran the server to test.

Thats okay :D. You have to use quotation marks.
    - 'world 1'
    - 'world 2'
btw, are spaces in world names even allowed?
  26. Offline

thanks but same error :D for example for worldguard works both world so i think its not a problem with the worlds

edit: the world 1 and world 2 was example, its not a space in there names :p
    - 'world'

other question, is a free mysql database (like sufficient for only logblock ? I have a fear that not enough, so I think about to rent a external database, what do you think`?

Ah, freehosters. Good question. Most don't provide remote access or have limitations to 80k rows (or similar).
I searched, but didn't find yet a suitable one.
