[INACTIVE][MECH/FUN/MISC] Redstone Lockable Chests v0.0.1a - Lock chests with redstone [419]

RedstoneChests - The Redstone Lockable Chest Plugin:
Version: v0.0.1a

This is a very simple plugin, that prevents a chest from being opened if it is recieving a redstone current.

This is an alpha version. I coded it in 5 minutes. It has minor bugs.

Tested with build 419.


Features:

• Chest will refuse to open if a redstone wire is active next to the chest

Known Bugs:
Version 0.0.1a

• Only locks if it is a redstone wire powering the chest. Placing a lever next to the chest has no effect.
• Large Chests can still be opened, if redstone wire is only to one side of the chest, instead of infront or behind.

Future Features

• Locking by lever (or other powered block type) placed directly next to chest.
• Emitting a redstone current for 1 second when an attempt to open is made (for alarms or traps).
  

 

Great idea. I'm going to try this when I get home.

Look at the chest trap plugin by geoff - it has traps for chests.

 

What build has this been tested to work with?

 

It's running on build 419.
