    ecoCreature 0.0.5b - PvM/E Rewards

Based upon the stories of iMonster and CookieMonster, this nifty little plugin will allow you, the server owner to hand out more than the default, boring sets of items dropped from creatures on your server.

Apart from allowing extra drops, how about economy support through iConomy & Essentials Economy as well as BOSEconomy? But... we just forgot one, MineConomy! (it works, too!)

Did you like how iMonster treated your currency rewards without those decimals? Fully optional here!
As if that wasn't enough, reward and penalty messages, fully customizable from your end!
    • Currencry rewards through iConomy. Messages are customizable.
    • Currency penalties, if thats your wish - with customizable messages.
    • Extra drops from all animals and monsters.
    • Prevent camping around monster spawners, fully optional.
    • Prevent rewards through the use of bow and arrow, optional with custom message.
    • Penalty for dieing, fully optional and can be set at percentage level. Custom messages.
    • Beloved donors and special members can earn more money through a simple permission switch, set in percentage gain.
    • Silent rewards, through the options. No more messages about rewards, penalties and such.
    • + more! (Read the config file for all the juicy details!)
    !!! Requirements:
    • iConomy 4.6.5
    • Permissions 2.7.2
    • CraftBukkit 740
    • * BOSEconomy 0.6.2 (Only required if you do not have iConomy)

    Permissions Setup for ecoCreature

Each and every creature available! (If you do not add any of them, you won't get rewards)

Full working server setup, for reference via gamebin.org
    • Updated for the latest stable bukkit.
    • Some features are still being worked on, in case you're wondering.
    • Fixed messages with no colors.
    • Fixed death penalty.
    • Added FixedDrops, open your ecoCreature.yml and add FixedDrops: false right under OverrideDrops. You can set the value true or false, if true... creatures will only drop the specified amount in your loot table, otherwise when false it takes a random number between 0 and the amount you wanted. This only needs to be added if upgrading from 0.0.5 and don't want to re-generate your config.
    v0.0.5 - Lederhosen!
    • uQuest hooking, if a creature dies, it can give a random quest.
    • Spawner drops items now.
    • Dollar signs as your currency now works.
    • Updated to work with MineConomy 0.5.6
    • Flat or percentage for the death penalty.
    • Misc random stuff that didn't work should work.
    • Tested against iConomy, didn't have time for the others - but should work, report what doesn't work if thats the case.
    v0.0.4g4 - Cows with laserguns!

    • Added a check to see whether or not Permissions are hooked and enabled.

    • Permissions are back in, and there has been changes made.
    • Extra gains work on group-level, you'll see what I mean inside the config.
    • No Reward message can now be toggled on or off.
    • Drop overrides can also be toggled on or off.
    • Random acts of fiddling around with the code
    • You must backup, remove & let ecoCreature generate a new config with this release.
    v0.0.4f - Ohsnap
    • Default drop tables are overriden by ecoCreature, default table is added to the config. Will be optional later.
    • Fixed a serious bug, where the players inventory would be wiped upon death. (very random and not always happening - but could)
    • Specifying a drop amount for a creature will give it a random between 0 and the specified amount now.

If you are running CraftBukkit beyond version 560, you will most likely get errors with not only this plugin, but also others. Like Permissions right there.
  3. Offline

IS there a way to fix this?
  4. Offline

Yes. I'm working on the next version which will be available for the next recommended build of CraftBukkit.

Until then, all you can do to have most, if not nearly all plugins to work is to downgrade to version 556.

This is cool, I will definitely use it if you add pvp rewards. Would it be possible to do multiworld support? I use iConomy as an xp system of sorts and I only reward xp for arena pvp. However, I want to make an instanced world where mobs are much more difficult to kill (already got this part figured out) and only reward xp on that world. Thank you

I've been looking at the option for PvP rewards, and they are probably coming in a future version. As for multiple worlds support, definitely looking into that.
  7. Offline

Wait because there are permission nodes does that mean I could just add them into the permission config of the world I want and they would only reward on that world?
  8. Offline

I believe thats the case... try it out and let me know... it would be awesome if multiple worlds already work :p

it doesnt generate a folder inside plugins for me.. however its listed in /plugins so whats wrong, ive tried restarting / reloading multiple times! please Quote this if you know the solution!
  10. Offline

You can open the JAR and go into the settings folder and grab the ecoCreature.yml from there, and copy it into /plugins/ecoCreature/

mobs arent dropping iconomy money though :/ thanks though!
  12. Offline

Did you change the default config? The default has values that do not always drop money for certain monsters or creatures.
  13. Offline

Hey, I was using ecoCreature earlier and it worked well.
I then installed Dynmap and it doesnt give iConomy money now.
Do you know what may have caused the issue at all or if theres a way to fix it?

Im running Build 556 with the following:

Did you just reload the server? I know that ecoCreature *might* mess up if you /reload, since the hooking is not done properly, this is however fixed in a later version. Any iConomy earlier than 4.6.x may also cause conflicts, but the console will tell you in that case.
  15. Offline

It appeared to start normally with no errors or issues. I did a full server restart rather than /reload because it can cause issues with a few plugins.
  16. Offline

I can't really see how dynmap could interfere with ecoCreature, but check the ecoCreature config file and make sure that Coin_Percent is set to 100 for drops 100% of the time... a message is not output in this version if you don't get a reward
  17. Offline

I realised that I accidentally uploaded an older iConomy version.
On updating it now appears completely functional.
    Thanks for your time though.

Glad it worked out for you, also... look forward to the new version ;)

First of all, this is an awesome plugin. Thanks for making this.

I use mcMMO on my server and I was wondering if it would be possible to add rewards for unarmed kills. As it is now, people that use the unarmed skill as their primary attack do not get cash. Sword, axe and bow kills work perfectly. Maybe you could make it configurable like bow kill rewards.

Again, thanks for this great plugin.
  20. Offline

I'll have a look at what mcMMO does with the fists, see if I can do something about it. Thanks for reporting this issue

i havent changed any configs.. Do you know if this plugin is conflicting with other plugins? if you do then which ones?
  22. Offline

If you haven't changed any configs, then you should definitely look at ecoCreature.yml in your plugins folder, the default has different values as to how money drops, they are defined in percentages and if under 100, theres a chance that you won't get rewarded.

    Nate Wiebe

The new recommended bukkit build is out. When are you releasing the next version?
  24. Offline

When initial tests are complete and confirmed to be working.

Am I just missing something? Where is the list of item ID's? The ones used here don't match up with the Minecraft Wiki Item ID's. Google doesn't help me at all. Someone help out a noob please.

PS I am trying to run this in a server with my little siblings, all they want is for sheep to drop 10 *colored wool each time they die and I'm trying to make it happen for them. Any help would totally rock.
  26. Offline

    Wrong thread, Sir?
  27. Offline

I thought this plugin allowed sheep to drop coins and you can change other things they drop? Or am I totally misreading what this plugin can do? Sorry if I am, does anyone know of a mod that can achieve what I'm talking about? Changing what certain mobs drop...like a skellie dropping 5 bones and redstone or anything like that?

For example, what does this line in the settings do?

    Drops: '260:1:5;39:1:20;40:1:15'

I am assuming the 260, the 39, and the 40 are items?
  28. Offline

Ah I see, I use the MinecraftWiki for ItemID reference, it seems to work just fine.

It's seperated into regular drops and coins, so you can have them drop only standard loot + money, or both, or just extra loot and no money so... yeah, try using the wiki for ID's
  29. Offline

Thanks for the reply. Random side question, I don't have any files in my permissions folder, and I am assuming unless you have a permissions config file this plugin wont work? Do I need to make a permissions config from scratch? Thanks for your help.

    What do these errors mean:

    Plug in suggesiton

Is there anyway for the plug in to know if the player is out in the open or underground?

I would love to have an option that only rewards money if the player is out in the open. This would prevent mobspawner camping and building mob traps to farm money.

If thats too difficult then maybe just have a check on the the Y level? If it sees that it's below sea level (63), no money will be awarded. This way if someone does build a mobtrap they will have to do it above ground, which will be easier to spot.

I have a ton of player building and hiding mobtraps under ground and farming money. It ruins the economy a quite a bit.

Thanks for the keeping this plug in going :)

It means your permissions is messed up, make sure they look good and try again
