    MCStats - Minecraft player statistics:
    Version: v2.7

MCStats is a statistics plugin for the bukkit. MCStats periodically generates xml,
json, js, and html files containing server statistics. Optionally, MCStats can also serve these files using an embedded web server. Using the embedded web server, the html stats report can be served directly from your Minecraft server. No need for messy apache installs.

For group support to work you must also install and configure the Permissions plugin v2.5.4+.

Please read the README - https://github.com/rmichela/MCStats2

    • Tracks many player statistics
    • Built in web server
    • Integrates with external systems using raw data feeds
    • Supports reading group affiliation from Permissions
    • Supports reporting iConomy account balances

Very interesting, will test this out later tonight.

    Looks promising.
  3. Works fine! Great plugin.

But the config file does not have all the options included in the readme, just the players to purge...

    YOU SIR!!

BEST PLUGIN EVAR!! I've been wanting stats, however some of the other plugins out there don't make it quite so easy.

    HUZZAH FOR deltahat!!

Tested and working on latest reccomended build

What kind of stats does it show?

Basic, but VERY EASY to use. Others are far too complicated. Also give more detail than others if I do say so myself. :)

    Screenshot of stats:

This is for me as well, tried manually adding the options and failed.

The config that came with the MCStats:
    playersToPurge: ''
    My config file I made:
    playersToPurge: ''
    secondsBetweenSaves: '60'
    resourceSaveDirectory: /var/www/
    secondsBetweenPageRefreshes: '60'
    httpServerContextRoot: /var/www/
    Both = Fail :(

Note: If I copy/paste all 4 files to my webserver it displays great! But will not upgrade ^.^

This works well for me as the host, but how would I allow others to view this same web page? Sorry if newb-ish question.

Well if you pay for web hosting, just upload it to your ftp. If not, I use opera unite to set up a web server. It is VERY easy you just have to be willing to go through the trouble of setting it up

Thank you I have played around with weebly and with drupal so I will try and get it up there. Thanks for the the tip. :D

Thank you sooooo much. This is the first stats plugin I've tried for bukkit that can accurately count kills/deaths even when I'm using the GhostBuster plugin. Even with the old version of DeathBan, none of the stats programs counted deaths but this one does. Soooooo stoked. Any plans for mysql support? I can imagine that the xml will get huge at some point (I cycle through a lot of players).

EDIT: I too am waiting for an update to the config files. Being able to tell the plugin to update to a specific directory like /var/www/stats outside of the plugin folder would be AMAZING. Also, how about an option to rename mcstats.html to something else like index.html? Thanks for the awesome work.

EDIT 2: Using sym links worked for moving the data onto my webserver. You can check out the stats running at stats.treepunch.us.

EDIT 3: Running into a small problem with pvp kill counts. We just started with a fresh install of MCStats and I had one my players kill me and he got 6 kills for it. A second kill netted him 10 points total (4 for the new kill). I tried to reproduce it on my test server and it showed up as 5 kills. I'm running cb531 and 554 on the test server, both dont show up as 1 per pvp kill. Counts deaths perfectly.

The options are there to change the output directory and file names. Look at the readme on github for details.
    treepunch likes this.

Thanks, I don't know how I missed that. This is super helpful. Any idea what could be causing the weird kill counts though? Or am I the only one experiencing that problem.

    Thank you, kind sir!

While I appreciate the other stat plugins, this has been my favorite for many reasons!

No idea. I'll have to look into it.

treepunch, i feel like i've been following you around on the forums trying to work out the same bugs. take a look at the thread for GhostBuster. the author does a good job explaining why death events might not be registering to Stats & Achievements. I assume MCStats is having a similar issue.

is there a way for this to go on a site?

This is now working for me, thos of you curious here you go.

I have 1 small request, is there a future update for maybe you could click on the person's name and it would bring up a page for jsut them and more information that is given?

Do you think you can help me set it up? I'm not sure how to make the plug in fill the .html file with the data.

    This if my config file.
    playersToPurge: ''
    secondsBetweenSaves: '60'

    plug in directiory: /home/max/minecraft/plugins/MCStats2
    www directory: /var/www/html

May you can at least post your config file?

    Thank you.

Sorry. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to view these stats. I have the plugin there, and it says it's running. But how exactly do I view them?
  27. Offline

I am still having trouble getting the data on my website. I have the header and the correct colors buy my data is not coming through. Any suggestions, and will this update automatically?

    Thank you.
  28. can someone attach his config file in a message here? because my config file only has the players to purge opption in it
  29. Offline

Same here. Probably the reason it's not working for either of us.
  30. yeah everything works fine, even the .html is generates is accurate and all.... But i need the config file to auto upload it to my webhost
