i just went a bit braindead....

    Hi I just upgraded my vps to xen now im a bit confused. in terminal I go to the minecraft folder then i type:
    sh ./start.sh


    right?

    thats how I used to do it on my OpenVZ vps. is it different on this?

    Provided the ./start.sh file has execute permission set, yes, it is the same.
