How did the big servers start out?

    I was wondering how the big servers start out? Did they rent a small server then expand or did they rent a big package strait away? If you own a fairly large server with about 50 players on the server on average please reply and tell me how you started out :)

    All servers start small then go a little bigger each time when the playerbase becomes bigger and stronger.

    exactaly what MrTom said as above, every server starts small, hard work, dedication and changing things up every once in a while, and making it appealing and fun to play, it will inevitably grow!
