Development Assistance Hoops Detector

Hello,

I am currently working on a plugin which involves flying.
I am trying to add the player score when he is flying through a hoop.
Now the question is, should i insert the hoops location inside the plugin? or should i make a hoop detector and detect when player is moving through it. I personally prefer the second option because it's more dynamic.

Anyone have an idea how to do such thing?
