I am having a lot of problems with creating a custom bukkit server. I have already set it up using the RUN.bat file. I have port forwarded the port for 25565, and then i tried to connect from a separate computer. I tried with the RUN.bat file running and it didnt work. I have no idea why but i think it has something to do with the port forwarding or the properties file. My os is Windows 7, and my router is the Netgear WGR614v9. Please dont link portforward.com as it gives invalid information of my model of the netgear router. Thank You!
Ok, be sure that you are using http://whatsmyip.net/ for your ip address, NOT command prompt, when your ready double click the RUN.bat and go to your other computer, enter the ip from whatsmyip.net (on your other computer) and see if it works then =]
