   why would you want to replace GM with PEX? GM would be much more stable.
   if you are having a problem with GM, say it here, il try to help you fix it

   The nodes for multiple homes, kits and some others arent working with it, even with using the official nodes on the essentials wiki

   all these work fine with groupmanager, if you didnt manage to use them, it means you typed them wrong.
   paste your groups.yml.
