This is a very simple plugin that adds drunken effects when you drink milk. The more milk you drink, the higher the chance the effects will occur! If you drink too much, you'll start to take damage due to alcohol poisoning. The current drunken effects are:

• Minor staggering
• Random chance to drop the item you're holding
• Slurring your "s" in speech (WoW style)

Usage

Right click while holding a milk bucket!

Configuration

When you start your server, a config.yml file will be created in the MuddersMilk folder of your plugins folder. I think the configuration options are pretty self-explanatory. All of the periodic effects have a base chance plus an additional chance per drunkenness level to occur. You gain one drunk level each time you drink a bucket of milk.

Update for new Minecraft drink event?

 

IDK if nisovin wants to continue this, he probably has his hands tied with MagicSpells since its massive.

 

Ah... He should give out the source so someone takes over it... I don't want this plugin to die like that

 

I don't believe there is a drink event in the API, unfortunately.

 

I was refering to the new hold-to-eat-or-drink minecraft action.

 

I was referring to the fact that Bukkit currently has no way to respond to drinking.

Mabey make it so you have to drink 3 or 4 buckets of milk to get drunk. Could also use potion of nausea effect.

 

Will you update MuddersMilk to be #2034 compatible? Or is it something wrong with my server because the plugin doesn't seem to work. I would love to give you a reason but I can't seem to find anything wrong in the run.bat

FINALLY! Could you add a string to make the "Beer" any Item? - I was thinking Mundane Potions! Mundane Potions! Mundane Potions!

I love this, it even made me fell sick IRL! One thing though, could you make it possible to add more or change the item? Id love to use Thick potions as Ale/Vodka.

 

nisovin - On my server the buckets aren't being consumed despite configuring to true (YAML passes). Any help?

 

I've made a slight tweak, try downloading it again.

 

nisovin - Bukkit appears to drop or otherwise disappear on drink, but does not fully get destroyed.

 

What do you mean it disappears but is not destroyed?

 

It leaves my hand but isn't dropped. I'm not really sure how else to describe it. You're welcome to see for yourself - my server's IP is mc.summaxr.com and there are buttons that dispense milk on the top floor of the inn to the left of spawn.

nisovin - Any updates? The bucket leaves the inventory, but when you move it comes back.

Is it a problem when you get the drunk effect without having to actually drink the milk?
All you have do do is right-click the milk bucket and let go before you actually drink it.
I don't like this, I don't like this at all.

 

That's the way it works, sorry. There's no other way to do it.
