This is simply a request for the upcoming client addition of maps. What this mod would do is: Make the map hold the entire world instead of just a small region. Make the map update even if the map isn't in your hand/hotbar Nothing much, but I'm not sure how hard it would be and I don't know any java. I requested this now to get the idea out there, as I'm not liking Notch's idea of maps having to be in your hand and only being able to work for a short time.
