Frequent crashes

Hello, my server has been having frequent crashes for quite a while now, and I have tried everything I can think of to remedy it, but to no avail... Maybe you guys will have an idea that I haven't come up with.

I believe it was crashing occasionally on all of the 1.2.x versions, but was the worst on 1.2.4. I was using vanilla Minecraft until a 1.2.4 bukkit build. I am currently running the 1.2.5 RB, using McMyAdmin, and only the BukkitCompat plugin. It is running on a Linux VDS.

The crashes seem to happen pretty randomly... It will go most of the day without a crash, then in the evening start crashing every half-hour. Sometimes the process just dies, and other times it starts taking up 99% of the CPU, and stops responding, so I have to manually kill the process.

A couple days ago I created a seperate, completely fresh installation of McMyAdmin and Bukkit 1.2.5, on the same machine, but in a seperate folder. Running that for a couple days didn't have any issues, but when I moved the world folders, and copied over the original server's world folders to the temporary server, that server began crashing as well...

Could our world simply be corrupt, or does anyone have any other clue what might be going on?

Doesn't sound like it's necessarily the same problem... I have narrowed mine down to likely not having anything to do with plugins, hardware, and a number of other things.

I've had the same problem for a while.
Occasionally it will happen when i am playing, the game suddenly stop responding and a couple of seconds later Crash.
I am getting sick and tired of having to manually shut down the program and then restart it
I going to try the MineCraft for a while, but first i need to get all the mods for 1.2.5
Anyone have a luck in fixing it, please let us know
