Well, since you own it, and aren't willing to share it with him, he posted a plugin request for the exact same thing. Can you blame him? No. He's copying the plugin exactly, but only because you won't give him a copy.

I'm not trying to say you should give him a copy, I'm just saying that it would be better for everyone if lots of these private plugins were released for the general public.

You're going to have multiple people code the same exact idea multiple times.

 

Im think I am going to make it public if my server becomes successful. Ill be excited and accidentally release it to share with you guys.

Edit: If someone would like to purchase it though, thats also an option $50 is where it starts and if no one buys it im releasing it to bukkit xD

If you're not willing to publicly post a plugin, and people want it, they're going to get it. Think about that recent "cloud" plugin request. It's being replicated. Maybe Server X had it first, but if Server Y likes the idea, somehow, they're going to get it.

It's the principle that counts. I really believe that you guys should release it... "just in spite", yes.

I went on the server running the copy of the speedball plugin. It had the same commands, same everything.
A blatant copy.

Instead of being on my server writing down what the plugin does you should create your own content.

Also, the previous comments of you, trixsta reveal how few tact you have.

I am also not taking full credit for the plugin. Sure codename_b coded it but I came up with it. I thought up the core features that you seem to love very much. I am not full of my self. Just saying how it is.

I took the time to check on some other servers you have hosted trixsta. Good luck with paintballcraft. Seems like it wont last longer than a few weeks if you will give it the same dedication as those other servers.

 

Coming up with ideas is easy... A six year old can do it, but a six year old isnt able to make it true. Codename_b programmed the plugin with your ideas, sure, but you act like you were a big part of it. my commands arent an exact copy either... Everyone expect a public release... With ban code implemented and some original features! PM your features to me! Ill add them! Are you a dev? Im looking for a team! PM me guys!

 

No but you wouldn't have been able to make this without codename_B. Yet he would be able to make this without you...

So many things wrong here. If it is so easy to come up with this idea. Then why couldn`t you do it yourself?

I wish I was being childish. Being childish would imply it was in my nature to make these posts but really I am just truly upset about this all.

 

How long did you think this perfect idea of yours will last? No idea is ever original and no idea ever goes without being copied. It's basic Economics. The second something has control of a market, substitutes come along, either with better quality or cheaper. Therefore if PaintballCraft does everything that MCPaintball does there will be no competition. However if anyone can have Paintball why play on your server?
