FACTIONS PROBLEM PLZ HELP!

hello i am having problems with my factions, so basicly members can build destroy or do anything in wilderness while in a faction

Have you changed anything in the config? You are obviously doing something wrong.

 

i dont know but when they are in a faction it says wilderness does not allow you to edit the terrain

Do they have permission to build? Something must be blocking it.

Also, if you have GroupManager or anything similar, make sure build is set to true. That is a common error.

Then I believe this is a factions error. You may need to reinstall factions completely if you can't figure out what you changed.

Here is what I recommend doing. Go to the folder in factions that stores player data (it may be a database too). Copy it. Now delete the whole folder, and regenerate it. Paste the file that I told you to copy back in, replace it, then reload again.

ok but when i go into my factions folder it has one file that has really nothing in it
but outside of my plugins folder i have a folder that says i think either mcore or mstore that has multiple folders and configs in them

Oh yeah, that is right. The new update. You may need to regenerate the whole thing.

 

It sounds like you've accidentally changed permissions for the Wilderness faction.

From my understanding, non-factioned players are considered to be a member of the Wilderness. If a player in a faction tries to break a block in the Wilderness and the Wilderness flags have been changed such that they deny non-members the right to build, then he'll get an error.

I can't quite remember the syntax, but there should be a way to view access flags for a specific faction. Try doing that for the Wilderness faction and see what comes up.

You may have also (now thinking about it) used an unwanted permission node in your permissions file for factions, can I see that?
