Question Factions and Essentials' chat format REFUSE to work together.

So i've been having this problem for weeks, and now that i'm starting to consider publishing the server, i would like to have the chat format so a player would say for eg. " [Member] Loggus : Message ". However instead of that it says " <[Member] Loggus> Message" which is the default.

now i've changed the chat format numerous times in essentials but only works when i uninstall Factions,
I do have multiverse and i have tried multiple different versions of factions

any help would be greatly appreciated

 

You need to go Factions' config.json and change this. https://www.spigotmc.org/threads/essentials-chat-format-refuses-to-work.4213/

 

I've looked at that thread before and i couldn't seem to find out what exactly i had to change, could you give me an exact directory name? (also what i should change it to)

 

Change the formatting to false. You have to look in the factions folder, and find config.json

Hi, i have another problem, not sure if you can help me.

So now my chat format does work with factions however if someone is in or not in a faction you cannot see the faction's name at the front of the player's name? Is there any way to work around this?
