Plugin Help Faction chat help?

This didn't work before getting essentials. Factions and massive core are my only plugins. I then got essentials and the same text came up.
I changed the prefixes to L,O,M,R to replace ***, **, *, blank. for prefixes but it did nothing. I've tried making chat set format truse and false with no difference.
