    Hi!

I got the latest stable Bukkit running and a few times per hour i get an error on my server which boots remote players. I myself play through a local network and don't have this issue.
It might be due to one of the plugins but i've tried disabling many aswell as update them but the problem remains.

This is the error i get and at the end a user gets booted:
    Some Server details:
Running under WHS (server 2003), SP2
    Dual Core 2.5Ghz 2GB RAM
    Java version 1.6.0_24-b07
    Bukkit 953

Plugins: MyHome, Motd, LWC, Worldedit, Worldguard, Xcraftgate, Showcase, Permissions, Backup, Citizens, Dropchest, iConomoy, Stackable.

Too be frank i havent tried it with Vanilla MC yet as i have multiple worlds that would make the server pretty much unplayable. And i hoped someone might be able to tell form above errors what it is already.
If not, i have to test it Vanilla ofcourse.
I've disabled most plugins already and actually had the problem before i had most of those addons.
Problem is there since i started the server the 1st time including the following plugins: MyHome, Motd, LWC, Backup and Xcraftgate.

Any ideas/tips would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

I have always been getting this error. not sure if it can be prevented but i have never done anything about it. doesnt seem to have any negitave effects apart from spamming the server log. it happens when a player does not close minecraft correctly. eg if their game crashes or if they close minecraft by clicking the x button on top right corner instead of pausing the game and pressing disconnect.

Ah but in my case it's a certain player that gets disconnected, he doesn't do it himself. But what you say here makes me think the problem might be on his end afterall. (although he claims he hasnt had the problem on a different server, he hasn't been there since last MC patch though)

There was a second player (and that all i have atm actually :p Just for friends atm) that had this happen to him once or twice but i didnt check the error of that disconnect.
This second player hasn't been on much or in long sessions so hard to check, but might be unrelated.

Anyway. Thanks for the info, will try to get the second player to test this a bit more! :)

sounds like it could be the network between the player and the server that dropped out. that would cause this error too i think. is this hosted on your home pc? would it be your internet that may have dropped out for a second?

That was my first idea aswell but during that time i was often on skype with that person aswell and we could talk through it without a single hick-up in the sound.

The server is on a PC in my network to which i myself login locally, so internet loss could have been an option but without data loss anywhere else (my wife was playing an online game in meantime aswell for example and she didnt lose connection)
Also after testing my internetspeed i could easily host 15 players, even more if i added more RAM... so it's not too likely the line couldn't keep up.

I guess i'll reset the router tonight just in case, won't hurt.

Ok got some more info, hopefully someone can help me!
    The error in the console:
    Code:
13:11:56 [INFO] Anaarat lost connection: disconnect.quitting
    13:11:56 [SEVERE] java.net.SocketException: Socket closed

    e)
    13:11:56 [SEVERE] at java.net.SocketOutputStream.write(Unknown Source)
    13:11:56 [SEVERE] at java.io.BufferedOutputStream.flushBuffer(Unknown Sour

    13:11:56 [SEVERE] at java.io.BufferedOutputStream.flush(Unknown Source)
    13:11:56 [SEVERE] at java.io.DataOutputStream.flush(Unknown Source)
    13:11:56 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.NetworkWriterThread.run(SourceFi
    le:116)
The error the remote user gets when he gets disconnected:
    Code:
    Connection Lost

I made them update their Jave to the latest version (same as the server) but that didn't help.
Also, i'm sure that the internet connection doesnt break up on that exact moment as i've had this happen while either being on Skype (with the disconnecting person) or playing a different online game.
We are with 3 people on this server and both remote players have this issue. A fourth player hasn't have longer playsessions so i can not tell if he would have it aswell or not at all.

Any ideas on what this could be would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

I'm starting to think it isn't a server issue.
Strangly enough all my 3 users had this issue but when i logged in from work (so remote aswell for a change) i didn't DC in over 45min. After that i logged out myself.

One of my users had Hamachi running in the background as it booted at startup (which he used for other games with friends). Disabling this solved all his DC problems!
I suspect the other 2 users have simular problems (1 of them has a PC that has a 50% chance to crash when he starts up Skype, so there is surely something wrong on that end, and the other one just assembled a new PC so there might be some driver issues still or the like)
