    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    Looking for the old version that runs on CraftBukkit 1000? We don't have it anymore :( Here's an archive of the old help post. If you're a new user, we REALLY recommend using Multiverse 2..

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:
    This server is running Craftbukkit version git-Bukkit-0.0.0-980-g4ed23b1-b1060jnks (MC: 1.7.3)

    Yes, basically I'd like to have a portal teleport to a coord that's is not defined as a portal.
    At the moment I am creating portals with no destination defined as a destination for a different portal, I'm also doing this as a temp solution to not having spawn on top of my portals when I arrive.

    You can do this already by selecting the portal with "/mvps NAME" and then "/mvpd here", that will change what ever portal you've selected to teleport you to where you are standing.

    Hopefully that's what you wanted.

    hey its me again! um so all the commands work now and i made a portal to another world and i can build on it and remove blocks (im a admin) and my other friend whos an admin also is on it but he cant build! i looked in all the files of my server and anything that says (build ability is checked yes) i dont know if this has anything to do with multiverse but just wondering! help!

    ok out of all my worlds the only one i'm having trouble with is a compilation map i got off the official forum. if anyone could help me either fix the problem or fix the world that would be awesome.

    1)anyway to fix that problem with building where you have to go back to world 1 then go back to world 2, to build?

    2)i was experimenting with the mvps, and the mvpd and when i use a portal it sends me to the same places! how do change where the portal sends me?

    Are you sure you're using the right version of CraftBukkit??? Can you pastebin your server log.

    No easy way to fix it atm...

    Select the portal with "/mvps" then type "/mvpd w:WORLDNAME" "/mvpd p:pORTALNAME" "/mvpd here" etc etc

    Theres a HowTo on the first post on how to do these things.

    Keep getting this when I try to use any /mv commands, I just updated everything from scratch, the only thing that I copied over was my map.

    Edit, actually it says I'm running < 320+ but I don't know how that could be, I just downloaded craftbukkit from the wiki...

    I had that problem... i updated Craftbukkit... tho now i can't use it at all it seems

    I've rolled back to my previous bukkit version and everything seems fine, i had to wipe my multiverse config files tho.

    Ok to those getting the error saying CraftBukkit is out of date, but you're using the absolute latest.... this is because they removed/changed the version number from the builds.... So the addon is no longer comparing against the correct number.... this check has been removed from the next build....

    The check was put in there to help myself because so many people came to me asking for help yet they didn't follow the original instructions saying to use a specific version, however this has now back fired on me :).

    So bear with me you may have to hold back on updating CraftBukkit for a few more hours.

    Oh can we please split the teleport commands os that using portals and the command based World changeing is not the same command the way I understand it is that the mvtp is used by a portal to tp you I think?

    if not please explain as Im trying to not give out the mvtp command to anyone but staff.

    A user that doesn't have "/mvtp" can still use portals.

    Also a user cannot edit someone elses portal... in the next version theres an option to allow people with "multiverse.portal.override" the ability, this would be for admins etc to delete/destroy other peoples portals.

    Excellent I decided to take a gamble until now while re configuering our permissiosn to the new commands.

    Ended up moving TP to mods and giving our second highest rank to create/remove/rename/destination

    have not tested it but u just confirmed it should be fine, There for I have one other question,

    What happens if a user try to set a desination portal to some other portal someone else created, seems like it could be an issue if ppl see a name on the portal list and go .. hmm Im going to force my way into there base using this.

    Maybe if its not checking these factors already its best to add an option so players can invite friends to link to ther portal, in other words so portal with multiple names attached allow the other named players to create portals using the Owners portal as a desination.

    Put simply the portal name list would be Owner:Name:Allowedlist:Name,Name

    Allowing private portals or shared portals. mabye even an ovveride like Owner:Name:Allowedlist:Global

    to allow anyone to set that portal as a destination.

    I only ask as I don't see much info on the Details of how portal system works so far.

    But yes I agree needs and Override command. Seeing u also said that you dont need a command to use a portal I think u need to add one as well.

    As my goal was to MOVE guests to a seperate world that makes use of the borderguard an then once ranked to there first rank allowed thru a portal we call a RIFT back to the old guestzone to see what was once a thirving Guest area that is not effected by this GIANT rift that seems to have tor a hole in the space of time and thus strange events have happend there.

    Also the PORTAL system for world travel was to be the Guests way out of the other NEW world once ranked "Approved"

    I cannot do this is anyone can simply walk into a portaland "poof" end up at another world.

    I hope my explination is enough to convince you to quickly add a Portal use command.

    I really do appreciate the work gone into this so far as well tho with out this Id be stuck with nether only or another plugin with no mob control for worlds.

    Ive been using this plugin now for a few days and installed the 1.2PRE2 version just now, but had to revert. Now instead of spawning where the portal is placed i have been placed beneath the world surface and inside of stone when going through 1 of my portals.

    Any suggestions?

    Also I think he changed how portal worked and advised to re setup your portal Desinations. He said there was ment to be a converter for this not sure if there is or not.
