    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​
    Current Version: 2.2-AB

    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two.     Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    Yo, thanks for finding it :)
    If you create a portal, then /mvtp to a different world, and then /mvpd, you get a NPE aswell: (due to Destination being 'null' in the Portals.yml)

    Also: There seems to be a problem with the X/Y/Z finding of the portal creating. I tried to make a 2x2x1 sand area, but the portal was actually 1 BELOW that, e.a. i had to dig it to 2 depth to use the portal.

    Here's our current set up.

    Three worlds
    main - 'sanctum'
    secondary - 'FFA'
    nether - 'hell'

    I was able to successfully create a portal to FFA using /mvpc testportal w:FFA, however when trying to create a different portal to the 'hell' world I typed /mvpc portaltest w:hell - and it comes up with 'No world by this name"

    K this is strange - I had created both the FFA world and the hell world - but somehow - the "hell" world fell off the current worlds list. I re-added it - tried the portal in a NEW area (because the previous one stated there was a portal there despite there wasnt one created or properly linked.

    So I restarted the server and tried again - I saw no errors in the console during any of this

    Adding to this - upon adding / importing and creating the 'nether' portals - now the FFA world does not work. Very odd occurrences. Feel free to connect to see it first hand.

    After checking the MVlist - it states that There were only three worlds "sanctum" "nether" and "hel" - after re-adding "FFA" - it appears the portal that linked it is no longer active yet I cant add a new one to that location. Ugh!

    And... upon reloading the server I see that Sanctum / nether are the only worlds loaded in - it may be a conflict with another plugin (I have the latest essentials core file)

    K - so the 'nether' world is added by essentials core (this doesnt need to auto load bastardos!) - HOWEVER - it appears that you have to re-import the worlds and relink each portal on each stop/restart of the server - this could be an issue or perhaps a toggle I've yet to configure. With essentials completely removed - it still only had sanctum in the /mvlist.

    Over here the portals did save... can you actually check the content of the Portals.yml before you close the server and compare to afterwards and see if the portals you created are in there? Maybe try issue a manual save-all?

    Another thing: If you don't have any permissions to use multiverse.* you shouldn't be able to set position with the wood pickaxe / the item you selected as selection tool... just my 0.02€

    All these Null Pointers... should probaly slap myself for not error checking properly, ah well :p you guys are the testers ;).

    Strange will give it a test, I can't remember if its the bottom block the player stands in that triggers things or the top block, as the player takes up two blocks... pretty sure its the bottom... it may be a case of me checking the wrong coordinates. Will have a looksy...

    Ok that's strange behavior, I've not seen any of that in testing it myself. Will definately look into this, its obviously not fun resetting everything each time the server starts.

    And yeh essentials really does bugger up some plugins, its just getting a joke.

    Let me know what else I can test for you Rigsby - I honestly dont know how many are using this for 1.1 - It could be my set up - although I doubt it - seeing that 1.0 wasnt having these issues.

    Okay - heres my next set of harassment - would it be too bulk to have a portal created a protected area except by ops or admins? Would be very nice to not have the portals smashing together - although this can be resolved by regioning the error - juts curious. and of course - hoping on an exemption check for players (admins/donors/mods/tec) when using portals to different worlds.

    First of all, no worries :).

    hmm, by protection do you mean preventing people from destroying the physical blocks of a portal??? or???

    or do you mean protecting a portal so only specific groups of people can utilize them???

    If it's either of them then it's on my list of many things to do, in fact both of them being high priority ones... So maybe tonight will see how things go, hope to get a new version out fixing a few commands kicking the player and such.

    Well - first off - its more of a protection against destroying - the use can come much later imo. The exemption is quite needed although we more than likely will have our own "herogates" plugin at some point - but im not sure if it will support world-world travel.

    Well the initial idea I had was only the portal owner can destroy a portal unless another player comes along with a permission like 'multiverse.portal.destroy' or 'multiverse.portal.override' not thought of the permission name yet to best describe it.

    I think that's the best way to do it - also - the only thing I cant get working at the moment is portal to portal on the same world working - was there a change in the commands? I tried creating /mvpc PORTAL1 p:pORTAL2 - then /mvpc Portal2 p:pORTAL1 - I may be missing a connecting step.

    So i solved my probs.
    I deinstalled every plugin and reloaded the needed ones. I dont know which plugin caused the issues but now its working. imported my old worlds, created new ones and connected them with Lologarithm's Stargates :)

    Thanks for the plugin, but, is there anyway to make different inventories for each world and different permissions? Or that is something that still need to be implemented on bukkit?

    There was a large response to this, but it didn't really make sense.
    If you have a portal, where does it spawn you in relation to that portal? Size is 2 wide by 3 high.

    Permissions in what sense? I intend to implement the ability for worlds to be restricted to certain groups, however I believe I'll be scrapping the idea of certain groups can build there and such, no need to bundle a protection plugin into this when theres WorldGuard and such.

    The inventory idea... not sure about that, it could be a possibility although it may be a tough one, will look into it once the core of the plugin is out and sorted.

    If you mean teleporting from potal to portal, then currently it teleports you on top of the portal, this was a case of me reusing the same teleportation code which tests the Y Axis first, I'll be cahnging this tonight to check around the destination portal first then gradually work its way up.

    I didn't expressed myself very well, sorry. But let's say I want to set up two world on my server, one with protections from WorldGuard, and commands like /tp and /item and no monsters, so it can be a free-build world, and another world to be a survival/vanilla world, with no commands at all.

    Ah, I believe that would be a no... Don't think the functionality is there for one plugin to disable another plugins commands otherwise it would probs lead to competing plugins etc.

    Your best bet is to hope that these plugins will update to support Multi-World in that sense. Either that or you can try find a way to swap a players group when they enter a different world with reduced priveleges.

    Yeh apologies, its on my to do list.... not quite sure why its not working as the codes there and it *should* be charging the player. Will debug it shortly and fix it.

    I intend to rework iConomy teleporting though, I find it unfair to instantly teleport a user and charge them without warning them of a cost... so i intend to implement a form of charge up time on the teleporter, EG - they have to stand in the teleporter for 3 seconds for it to then teleport them, during this time they will be warned of the charge and shown a countdown timer.

    If so I've explained several times :p, if not then can you explain more?

    Whenever I teleport through a portal, i am spawned ontop of the portal instead of infront of it
