    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    Got a problem with mv-core 423.
    Some chunks are wrong generated. And why mv force a config for the normal world from bukkit? I will create all chunks from bukkit and not from mv for the world.
    Is this the autoload setting?

    Also the coordinates are somtimes wrong...

    Can u add to this plugin where when u go through a multiverse portal you can do a command on a certain portal where when u walk through it you have a different inventory per world or keep inventory and not configurable where it's a command. Sorry if this is confusing. Please respond soon.
  4. This is a SPOUT issue, not us. Ask them when it will be fixed.

    Side note: We're getting closer to an AB. Sorry for the wait. Don't want to release a very buggy MV :(

    This is probably a really easy thing to do but how do I import a world that already has a nether world set so that I can have both the normal world and the nether world? I have mv nether portals installed.

    I had a problem with first spawn with multiverse DB#422. (Every time after connecting, players spawned at Main world Spawn.)
    I've sold it by downgrading to DB#419.
    But now it seems to be a problem with hunger. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes not.
    Should i upgrade to an upper version?
  8. This has been discussed multiple times on this page already.

    Spout causing Bug.
    MV now has a workaround.
    MV will fix itself. Grab a newer build.
    You'll loose the firstspawn feature. If you want this, talk to the spout guys.

    I was just wondering, if I create a new world (world) that does not yet have a nether, and try and go through a nether portal I get the message "This portal goes nowhere" do I need to create a nether world with "/mvp create <world> nether" to get a nether and then make the correct link through the mv nether portals config for this world or have i done something wrong?

    If i do need to do this do I need to add a "_nether" at the end of the world name I am making the nether for or does creating a nether world automatically add the _nether to the world name?

    Also I asked this before but how do I import a world that already has a nether world set so that I can have both the normal world and the nether world?
  11. Well we didn't remove the feature, we just disable it if spout's found. A lot of people have been bugging us to add it for a long time, so It'll never get taken out. Configurability, however, is another thing altogether.

    You'll need to install Multiverse-NetherPortals (one of our other plugins) and all your nethers will automagically link.

    I have already installed Multiverse-NetherPortals, I just created a new world and when I make a nether portal and try and go through I get the message "This portal goes nowhere", this world doesnt have a nether world yet should the portal create one for me? or do I need to create one with /mv create world nether?

  14. I'd imagine it's permissions related. Make sure to read up on our wiki pages for all the permission nodes (multiverse.access.* or multiverse.access.NAME)

    Here's an idea for a new feature that Bashur from Bashcraft (Creator of Lengend of Hobo) thought would be a good idea to create a portal to connect to other servers.

    Go in portal on one server - enter other server...

    Go back and enter the same server you connected.

    Minecraft Monday's and Bashcraft are sister minecraft servers and Bashur gave the idea of being able to enter other servers with a portal.

    I've got a problem...
    I'created a world for my Server, then uploaded the folder, going Online, type "mv import "Name" normal"
    It says succesful, i used "mvtp name" ... and there was not my map.... there was nether!
    i tried a different map, and still again... Nether!?
    How can i get my worlds back online? It worked before some weeks...
  18. You have to make it:

    /mv create newworld_nether nether

    We've been asked to do this before. The issue as that (to my knowledge) this requires a client mod or other configuration shenanigans. We like to adhere to the BukkitAPI vanilla standard and therefore cannot do this.


    2.2 is VERY close now. I've fixed the bug relating to SignPortals and NetherPortals. Just need to do some more testing.

    Last thing if I want to import a single player world that already has a nether, how can I do this and still be able to use this single player world and nether world on my server?

    I have tried and the nether portal doesnt go anywhere, do I need to add the world to my server twice but give it 2 different names (world & world_nether) then do /mv create world normal & /mv create world_nether nether?
  20. No. Just import the 2 single player worlds. To link them you'll need Multiverse-NetherPortals. The downloads are on our Jenkins or listed in the first post.

    I got a little problem. I'm trying to make one portal from one world go to another portal in another world. I use the command "/mvpd p:RedstoneTesting", but it says it isn't a command. I don't know if it's me being an idiot and typing the wrong command or if I need another part of the plugin. So far I have Core and Portals installed. Do I need another part of the plugin or has the command changed?

    Sorry I dont understand what you meant by the "two" single player worlds, all I have is 1 folder called world, I dont have 2 world folders. Do you mean to import the world folder as 1 and the DIM-1 folder seperately? I already have Multivers NetherPortals and understand how to link worlds with Multiverse NetherPortals. How do I seperate the nether world from the normal world if I only have 1 world folder?
  24. So any news about allowing BuildCraft to work with Multiverse.
    I gave [BuildCraft] user permissions to modify the world, but still, this works only on the 1st map....in all the rest it doesnt work properly.
    Someone here said he was going to talk with the BuildCraft team....any response to that ?

    ok, i added 2 worlds and dynmap also showed them instantly, but where do i find the files for them? (for dynmap configuration)
    I just can find my normal "world" skyland, nether and The_End files.

    I want to use Multiverse-Portals oder SignPortals but if i take them into the plugins folder and restart the server the server didnĀ“t acces it.
    Is this Plugin not comatible with any other plugins?

    Hello Multiverse Team!
    I absolutely love this plugin, and have been using it ever since I brought my server to Bukkit, so thanks for such a great mod!
    I've just been having an issue that is confusing the crap out of me, and was looking for a little help.
    I have a main portal that my whole server uses to get to the Nether.
    When I set the price for the portal, players can use it without being charged.
    When I set the price for them to enter the WORLD instead, it charges them, and doesn't let them through.
    I'm using PermissionsEx, so I'm not sure if that could be causing the problem.
    I also left the "currency" property in the config at the default "-1", but to be completely honest with you, I'm not 100% sure what that means exactly.
    Any response would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for your help!
  30. Uh not sure what this means. I've never been notified of an incompatibility. If it's a multiworld (Bukkit Concept) issue, and it sounds like it is, this has nothing to do with us.


    Sorry, been a while since i've used dynmap. All of our "files" are stored in plugins/Multiverse-Core/, not sure where the dynmap ones are stored.
